  1. Bought this some time early this year,(April) i had been waiting on a different gunsmith to do a rebarrel but got let down, After waiting over 4 months (nearly 5) and nothing but fairy tale's i decided to take it elsewere, and after a chat with Simon from Border Barrels he recomended Dave from Valkyrie Rifles. I must say the gent is very interesting both to talk to and to listen to. The work looks good and i was pleased to have met Dave and if it shoots as good as it looks he will have more custom from myself in the future hopefully 22.250 Swaro 3-12x50 ill Sonic Mod when the weather shows signs of improving i should get out and get some 53grn Vmax heading down range tosee what its capable of. The but pad was loose after a quick tart up of the stock so its been taken off for a more per fix.
  2. Baffled me on that one Frenchie, try a little tape over the bottom 1/3 -- 1/4 of the lens. I tried a sunshade 8inches long plus, but still could not get rid of the glare, the only thing that sorted it was a little tape over the end of the scope. I am sure i told you before it may have been a while ago though. Picture below showing the scrunch just in front of the scope, it just needs a little puffing up a little before use, then check before battle
  3. Yes agreed a great entertainer. But just another that succumed to drug abuse. Will they ever learn.
  4. Get youself down to the nearest lady's accessory shop and get youself a nice black (non shiny) scunch, Place it over your barrel up to the scope fluff it up a little so it just covers the bottom of the scope and jobs a gud un If you check back through some of my latest Foxy Funeral Pictures you will see one on the barrel. It was a tip from Robert Bucknall
  5. Its a great shame for the poor kids, having parents that do such cruel things to someone they are supposed to love and cherish. They shouold be reported ASAP. those kids need taking away NOW !!! there are people out there that have a proper Christmas Tree's and decorate them properly, not just chuck stuff at it after a night out on the pop. They should be ashamed of themselves. Merry Christmas to you all
  6. It all depends on how they group on paper, you will find each brand will have a different POI. Find one that groups well and buy you max limit out of the same batch #
  7. I.m doing my bit to save them from extinction-,, I missed one on Thursday, But did manage to get another.
  8. Sorry I did ask, but I am not able to get you any now til after new year. Obviously wasnt that important.
  9. How much do you need and when for
  10. It sounds to me the this guy Dennis is not a huge fan of anything other than either clay or target shooting if thats his oppinion on "Pump action or Semi auto shot guns" As for obtaining rifles without having prior knowledge or any experience of shooting one i find quiet hard to believe after the interview with his FEO.
  11. Looks fine to me , but then i am colour blind. If only i could see what the problem was :sad1:
  12. Oh!!! you could of waited till it was finished before telling him
  13. I thought if it was wounded then its your responsibility to insure it does not suffer any longer than possible therefore you must dispatch it ASAP. Bearing in mind you must avoid the armed trespass route. which as you know your projectile counts too.. If it were to go to court i would have thought it would not go too far. Your neighbour sound a rite grumpy so & so. Does he also own the land under the sea up to the next country.
  14. Has the bloke recieved any education since being potty trained, i doubt it. What an ill informed ignorant adult, Oh! and very gullable. Its a shame for the chap. He reminds me of the people you see on Jeremy Kyle in the morning

    Coffee machine

I must be a rite cheapo commoner, Just the other week i popped into curry's and got myself a "Logic" coffee maker for £19.00 ... thats NINETEEN POUNDS, not 190 or 1,900, the coffee tastes better that instant,i can grind fresh beans and use them, but the thing it doesnt do is make Latte Americano Costalottacoffee italionogodknows what It just makes common old garden coffee. And it leaves me on comparrison about £80 to spend on shooting stuff
  17. With horses if they are used to the noise of shot guns and shooting in general and have become uccustomed to it on a rugular basis since foals then i agree they may not be jumpy or get stresses. But on the other hand if it is new to them then they may very likely show signs of stress and be extremly jumpy and try to run away, which as a flight animal is there defence system in action,in turn it can cause untold damage and even death due to broken limbs. As for game shoots i know of a few that actually give dates times and the location of shoots before hand to the local livery yards, so to try and avoid any unnessary upset. And as for small pockets of land being sold off to horse'y owners, all i can say is the world aint getting any bigger is it. Oh! and you may have guessed yes the Mrs has got horses, so did my mother & my sister, i have nowt to do with the horses but they enable me to spend as much time out shooting as i could possibly wish for.
  18. What's up with you The second and third picture show a safe shot surely :innocent:
  19. The one in front got the best deal i think just managed to pull out before the picture was taken. It was the best party i've been to for ages  And such a brill weekend, thanks to all. If only i didnt hesitate on the one i had in my sights, i just cant believe it, still i'll give it another year to grow a little more Thats if its got anymore growing to do !!!
  20. it will say on the barrel if its a 20, or "should" do
  21. The fastest draw in his day was Sammy Davis jnr, 2nd I cant remember but Clint was 3rd. As for best shot I dont know.
  22. why cant you give them a good flush through first using bleach or whatever product of your choice. It would make it a little more pleasant to work around just incase there are a few unwanted logs lying around.
  23. I was informed that having a liner fitted greatly reduces the chance of chimney fires allthough my brick chimney was not very good so needed lining.
  24. You do know if its not fitted by a fully qualified "HETAS" engineer your log/multi fuel burner will not work, be warned, you are going to end up with a lovely looking piece of cast iron sitting in the whole in the wall you call a fire place, doing nothing but collecting dust. Mine wont work, iv'e got that fed up with it i been trying to get rid of it by melting it down for scrap the last 3 years, my mum has the same issue too, she's been trying to do the same for nearly 30 years, they are tuff little cookies, they have'nt melted much... Wait for it now
