  1. Do Doveridge have restrictions thats probably 45 minute drive.
  2. She's OK so far. Seriously though, the only ones we eat are out of a packet. Due to my disability (colour blind, not quite blue badge holder) I couldn't tell the difference between one or another
  3. It's under a beech tree with a laid of chipped bark.
  4. Got a load of these down the garden growing, in a sheltered woody area. Recognition app on my phone and books tell me it is a large oyster mushroom, not being an expert im not intending on frying it up for Mrs D's breky. Oh before some bright spark tells me,,,, i know its a Mora next to it, i put it there for a size comparison .😉
  5. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/286320978 Not Ginger, but this post got me thinking about another favourite from years back.
  6. Thats fine till you meet a dog walker, or a cyclist with their coat over the back light, or someone just taking a walk. We've had 3 recent deaths on roads withing a 20 miles radius pedestrians hit by vehicle's at night.
  7. One of my all time favourite film clips is in Pretty Woman. The shop staff tell Julia Roberts she can't afford the clothes. Then later on she walks back in with bags full of very expensive clothes. That's exactly what you should be doing. I just love it.
  8. Ben, a lovely story. I'm sure John will treasure it well and keep the dust off the barrels. Sounds like it suits him well, a bloody good average for game shooting. Your a gent 👍and wish you a very merry Christmas
  9. I would have put some streaky bacon in, but as my neighbour offered to do the cooking i felt it a tad cheeky to tell her how to cook it. 😉
  10. Not had liver and onion for ages so treated myself to a very easy dinner tonight, so simple in fact all i had to do was ding the peas and mash. Mashed potato was left over from Sunday and my neighbour made the liver and onions as a deal when i gave her a bit of my sausage😉 and the liver.
  11. Thanks gents duck recognition just ain't my thing. But the Saxony looks very close.

    Mick Cawston

I like his work and have about 14 of his prints, one of them my best find was #2 "Far From The Madding Crowd" another was a signed print "The Wild ones" that he singed at the time of buying at the Midland Game fair with an anecdote "keep terriers working" . As your probably aware he sadly committed suicide in 2006, i think he was a sufferer of depression that sadly became too much. As Dave said you like it, you enjoy it, every now and again i take a close look at mine and see things i didnt notice last time, his anthropomorphic pics have always been a favourite of mine. And just actually got up to check the title on one of them .
  13. After the first shot was fired the gun was at waist height and went off a second time. just goes to show how things are changed in stories. Regardless of the changing facts I wish the IP the best recovery possible, and also feel for the person who caused the injury.
  14. Never seen the need for look alike military style air rifles either, and agree with comments regarding being faced with a rifle muzzle of any kind, do you or dont you protect yourself Highly unlikely you would get any reasonable answer if you asked the question. But no need to dramatize the issue, it would have been obvious at the time of the guys arrest after a 30 second inspection of the gun that it was not a live firing rifle. But thats not as exiting and doesn't does it play into the banning firearms policy. Its extremely doubtful youd get that up to FAC spec looking at the adverts
  15. It's design is to be accurate, and the cartridge accurate in basic stock configuration. Bullet, powder, velocity etc ?? And what does it shoot like and what kind of range ?
  16. Our 2 could only dream of that standard now.. Lack of out of season training due to injury has taken its toll. Sent one on a strong runner that he picked up ok, but swapped shortly after for a dead one. Little swine.
  17. Brilliant day again, made better with the decent frost, hard ground so easy walking decent bird count too. Bloody good shooting from some of the guns felt sorry for one of the guns birds coming from left to right and the gun to the right had very few to shoot. I took this shot as i though it was just a bit different.

  19. 1.9 205 GTI. Awesome 👌. A Shame it had too much attention from thieves. Driving wise loved annoying other hot hatches.
  20. Young drivers should restricted to low HP vehicles. Too many high performance cars driven by low performance brains. As for older drivers if they are medically fit then why not ?

    iceberg

Dump Cwis on it give him a pair of oars and tell to put it back where it came from.
  22. I only carry on with recall if either I can't see the dog or he can't see me. Lovely example last week when one of the dogs was in high cover crop and had no idea where I was.
