  3. nice gun...I'm looking at an s310 tonight...can i ask what you paid mate
  4. Max my lab jumped into an iced over pond and fell through....nearly going under the ice.......he would have drowned for sure.
  5. I had a d143 on a tx200...no probs at all.....
  6. I had two airmagnums...they both leaked.......both went back to BAR. Both chronoed at about 9lb as well........shame cos they look nice and the action is great...... silence nice and they are accurate (so long as the temparature is the same as when you zeroed it)
  7. Rapid is best pcp i ever owned...however it is ugly...if you want pretty then s410 or fx2000
  8. I'm surprised at this article......quite shocking how he does not clarify fac or 12lb'er. In France it is seen as inhumane to hunt anything with an air rifle..... in fact its not legal to hunt with air rifles. Opinions do vary on this....i bought a 12lb'er fx2000 and the guy said he had only used it once to take a fox from 20 yards......he reckon it fell easy enough. I would never use an air rifle to take a fox down.....i've had rabbits that are not instant kills with a .22 12lber......I agree with all on here it is inhumane and unecessary..... use the correct tool for the quary...you wanna shoot fox then get a CF
  9. I'd be very interested in meeting for a shoot in South East. Perhaps you Northerners ain't so social.
  10. Its against rules to swear on PW. If its a crock then explain how the country, in forty years has gone from being the most respected in the world to the biggest joke? Who looked after it during that period?
  11. Thanks, just what i wanted to hear. Col
  12. My Dad had a rifle and taught me to shoot as a young boy. Have some great memories of time spent shooting with Dad.
  13. No the charger does not tell you when the battery is full. If I store it charged and don't use it for a few months (for example) will it need charging again before i go out or does it hold its charge? Cheers Colin.
  14. Hi, Got a Deben lamping kit and both batteries have some charge in them. They say charge 8-10 hours. Should I charge them for this and is it possible to 'over charge'? Also how long should a fully charged lamp last? Cheers Col
  15. Jonrms, So you've been 'sniffing' have you... Col
  16. OK, Grisly Adams style question. Your gonna be up in the hills for a few years, what rifle do you take? I guess it would have to be a self contained rifle rather than pcp!!!! Perhaps you disagree. Personally I would take my TX200 as it is rugged as hell and doesn't appear to go wrong, ever. Second choice would be my Theoben Fenman gasram, but worry that if the gasram went wrong I would not beable to fix it. What would you take? One rifle only.
  17. I know I can buy one from £40 but thought somebody may have one they want to sell cheaper. Cheers Col
  18. Members who miss a thread and start it again the next day are *****..............
  19. I would never take whats not mine............... ...........unless I would't get caught. Marther pass me my shot gun
  20. hell, even more cheap guns on the market then? The Housing estates will be flooded with £50 Tx200's and £40 weirauchs......the little chavs will have more accuraccy and power and their smk can be passed to little brother for nowt.... I have nboting to hide i just cannot see any benefit to licencing sub 12lb rifles. It will do no good except give Balir some more money to chuck into banning various types of hunting..... Its a stupid idea just like the knife amnesty...waste of time.
  21. The only benefit is that if you have to give up the gun or get a licence then lots of air guns will be on the cheap. Will have to be face to face though. What a farce.

    Oh my god

Why because he doesn't agree with everything you say? He has interpreted law slightly differently so you come to the assumption that he should not be allowed an air rifle! Give me a break. He has a healthy interest in shooting (his sport, as well as yours), engages in debate and gets insulted for his indifference. At least he has bothered reading the law, unlike 90% of airgun owners out there. I wish more airgun owners showed his interest in gun law. Were all on the same side, insults should be left to the majority who want our sport banned.
  24. How will they buy the guns without a licence ? Come on mate, how many air rifles do you think are in circulation at this minute? practically everybody I know has at least one air rifle. It will be more red tape, at the expense of the people that don't need regulating, which yobs and chavs will ignore. What will it achieve?
  25. Too many rules restrict our lives already, this will be just another one. Makes our lives more difficult and those who commit crime will ignore the licencing system anyway. What will it achieve?
