    Nijmegen Marches

ive done 2 Nijmegen Marches in my youth lol. all i can say is wear your boots without socks for about 15 mins general walking around, take em off look at your feet and were ever you see Hot Spots (hot spot) being were the uppers and leather stitching has started to rub or inprinting the skin this is were you are likely to blister so focus on these and prep them well prior, to either tabbing running or hiking. esp Nijmegen, what ever you wear need to be breatheable as previously stated heat and sweat don't mix when doing this kind of distance, once your feet start to sweat ya feet will want to move in your footware causing friction between feet socks and boots promoting blisters, also when i did Nijmegen i used Pro Boots and 1000 milers socks, never worn issue boot during my career in green always Pro Boots and Mattahorn but that was my preference. hope the little info helps you take some compeed blister packs too as its a good piece of kit if ya catch blisters early enough before they appear or having blisters forms a good protective second skin. with talks on camel backs you can find a decent 2 lt used Ex/issue desert one for around £20 or less

  6. Don't get me wrong its probably is worth more and i might be corrected by members on here but it was only a rough figure not an accurate price
  7. Depending on its true condtion age pics to prove or viewing i'd say £300 to £400 ono! Prices do vary alot but as a guide thumbhole stock version worth more than standard stock in my opinion.
