  2. Cheers, Yeah I heard of the issues with some of the synthetics. This is the wooden half stock. Will see if I can put a few rounds through before buying.
  3. I have recently sold my Remmy .243 and have my eye on a nice wooden half-stock Mannlicher. I have 2 peoples opinions, 1 says they are great guns and the other says steer well clear as they can often be innacurate. Thoughts?
  4. Saturday 5th April 2014 - HNC Gamekeeping students at Borders College, Near Galashiels, have organised a 40 bird comp at Bisley at Braidwood clay ground near Selkirk in the Scottish Borders.   5. Cheers. I will mostly be lamping for foxes on foot and will usually be on my own so i'm swaying towards the NM800.
  6. I am looking at the Lightforce 170 and a LEDray scope mounted lamp. Any info on either or other suggestions? I have also read about the Nightmaster 800 and wopuld be interested to hear from anyone who has used one for foxes.

  11. Hi, I currently work a Spaniel and although he is very good at flushing and is getting better at retrieving he is gun shy and doesn't look up. He is far more of a beaters dog than a picker. I have read this thread and know to take it in stages re the gun and gun noise but how do I get him looking for falling birds after the gun is raised. He is happy to retrieve it if he hears or sees it fall but he doesn't look for the bird when the gun is raised. I have thrown birds and hid them and he is happy with both of these. Cheers.
