Enfield smle SMLE WW1 De-activated + colt + sword + bayonet £675 Other Rifle Private Seller New York, East Riding of Yorkshire De-activated Description The last bit’s I’m selling from my collection A Scarce De-activated (with Birmingham Proof House Certificate) SMLE MK1 *** previously part of a large private collection belonging to the Late Lieutenant General Sir Michael Gray of Pocklington. (Yorkshire Post Link), see photo’s attached. This rifle is dated 1907 to the wrist and has matching serial numbers to both receiver and barrel. It is largely in late WW1 Mk 3* format having picked up various modifications (most probably throughout WW1). 1907 was the last year of the No.1 Three Star before the MK3 was officially adopted. The sliding charger guide has been replaced with a rear charger bridge and the magazine cut-off plate has been removed. The additional volley sights have been taken off, but the front dial is still in place and you can see where the rear site was as this rifle still benefits from its original woodwork. The upper hand guard is the original early type with the sight protectors being an integral part of the hand guard. The gun finished its service life as a Drill Purpose rifle. This SMLE is in a decent honest condition, especially given that it is 117 years old this year. Reluctant sale, only genuine enquires please, viewing welcome REDUCED to £675 Also a P1907 bayonet, Dated for 1915, still has a lot original blueing finish on Ricasso, blade lightly sharpened. These are pretty rare over here, ive only seen 1 other in person. I believe this one was made in the 1960s. It is in perfect working order and the blueing has a lovely honest wear to it. The wood is very pretty, some oil marks around the receiver. Barrel is marked as full choke, Chromium Molybdenum Alloy Steel - single bead sight. A three shot restricted pump, really fun at the clay range as it has a nice soft butt pad. An excellent gun but I need the space and the money for ammo! AYA no 3 wildfowler £195 12 gauge Shotgun Trade Seller Used - Average Condition Harpenden, Hertfordshire Side by Side, Full Choke, Full Choke, 30" barrels Description AYA NO. 3 Magnum AYA produced many thousand box lock non ejectors during the 1960’s 70’s and 80’s and it was on these study workhorses that their reputation of reliability and durability was based. Most of the shotguns were 12 bore field guns with standard stocks and game chokes on 28” barrels, the model evolved by the late 1960’s into the Yeoman. They also produced the No. 3, still styled for the British market based on Classic Holland and Holland designs with an Anson and Deeley type action but made to a higher standard and leaving more room for a wider range of stock and barrel length, wildfowling specification and bore choices. For about £30 more than an equivalent Yeoman you can have a more sophisticated and individual gun. Mine usually cost £195 This model from 1974 has a 14 inch LOP, with 30” barrels with 3” chambers choked for fowl at full and full under a file rib. It has the beaver tail fore-end and the pistol grip common on fowling pieces. It also sports a high fluted comb. I have however about a dozen examples of the same model with different barrels, stocks and chokes to ensure a perfect fit or make a composed pair to suit individual shooting requirements. They brought it into commission & the barrel is stamped “Regulated by Fultons” As well as re-commissioning it they re-bedded the barrel & action & honed/tuned the trigger mechanism. It is in immaculate condition & the barrel is as crisp as the day it was made as both the original owner & myself have used it very lightly. It shoots amazingly well at 600yds.
