  1. first thing i would do is the normal, pay things off secondly explain to the kids they will be looked after, but i'm not a free ride, go out, get educated get a job, then when i see come together, they would get a helping hand in life obviously i would if they wanted it given them the opportunity for better things in life like private educations, but they wont be 18 year old Ferrari drivers etc using £50 notes to clean their shoes then put a huge amount of cash in to finding a cure for M.E/CFS so the wife could enjoy lifes luxury's again
  2. I thought the same, even driving down put fuel costs in to the realms of buying local and more expensive guns. Good luck with the sale
  3. i bought a Garmin GPSMaps 62 Found as a returned item, been sold with with full UK oS maps and shipped fro, the good old US of A for £135, no customs tax was paid so quite a bargin used it a little and found to be good, friends who walk more have more upto date version and never let down by them
  4. shame Bristols so far away, i would have been interested in having a look at this, ideal gun for my boy to start with
  5. I'm on my third FL2 launch model was let's say less than good with lots of trips back to the dealer then I swapped for a HSE auto 2009 and that was great and kept for 5 years and now on a 2014 HSE Lux auto with the facelift I'd say they have ironed out most of the niggles over the life of the FL2 I would look towards a higher mileage newer car myself due to you lower mileage use
  6. i just had to buy a new one, and bought this hyundai one, very well put together and cuts great, so far can't fault it https://www.sitebox.ltd.uk/hyundai-hym51spe-electric-start-selfpropelled-petrol-lawn-mower-ohyun_hym51spe
  7. not too far away, might have to have a trip over one morning
  8. to update, i paid the doctors my money and they sent the letter directly to the police, I didn't hear anything further so rang them the other day, to ask, as my cert was expiring that day, told it was with sent to someone (not sure who to get their final approval) and a tempory cert been received today, till they decide
  9. Not spoke with Org as only receive letter last night and was too late to call anyone
  10. I agree, I'm in a tight situation, and will have to pay for them even at the rip off price. Just annoying as this is just covering the FA Dept backsides as he has said it shouldn't make any difference whatever they send back to them. Basically £72 for a paper trail which won't have any effect on my renew
  11. Renewing my Shotgun Licence and due to disclosing I have been suffering from Anxiety and seen my doctor who prescribed medication They asked to have a letter from my doctors, so a few days later I received a envelope to give to my doctor, handed this to them on Monday and was told that there would be a £20 charge, fair enough, today I receive a invoice as filling in forms is not covered by the NHS and £20 is now £72 What are they writing it on silk with gold ink 😡 What annoys me more is I called in today and was told that it would be next week and they confirmed it was £20, even though this letter was sent out 4 days ago and she was looking on the computer to see if anything had happen Do the FAO need this letter/ form as this is clearly a rip off charge or is there a way to request it differently so as they can use normal paper and provide the info? Either way I will be calling the FA Dept Monday to see if they can see a way round this as he said whatever the doctor said he couldn't see it been revoked
  12. my dads had his cert renewed, and he has terminal cancer, only thing the officer wanted was to have the keys split up, so my mum has the top lock and my dad has the bottom lock key, so she can provide the key to him when he wants to go shooting, (but my mum doesn't have access to the gun) which he even admitted won't stop someone who wanted to end it as he still has a cert and could go buy a other gun if he so wished its all about ones mental state in these situations
  13. Medically I was told anxiety is a form of depression, a chemical imbalance that the tablets can help stabilise. I also spoke with a specialist and talked about it and she said it was more anxiety (worrying about what the future held) than depression we all associated with the depressed
  14. does things like anxiety (which is under the depression umbrella) and been on prescribed meds (setraline) due to some tough going ons at work and finding out your dads got terminal cancer effect a SGC renewal? or is it down to the doctors report and the FEO stance, even if the help sought has got you back been ok
  15. I guess the saying you can't understand depression unless you have been there yourself is true reading some of these comments Some things you can't just man up and deal with, no matter how much you try and no matter how long you try to deal with it, seeking advice on how to cope with issues such as feeling signs of depression is a huge step in the right direction
