  1. Im looking for a synthetic stock for a Squires Bingham 1400 .22 rifle but I can only find wood stocks. Are there any after market synthetic stocks inletted for the model 1400 or are there any places that will make one?
  2. I use Rio mini mags in 42gm BB's and their the best most hard hitting shells I have found.
  3. My cousin used steel shot in non steel approved gun once, he only got the one shot off before it split the end of the barrel for about 4"
  4. I shot them on the farm to protect stock when I was a kid, now I shot them because they are foxes and don't belong here and its fun.
  5. I have had the dame problem before, we just shot a lot more and did our best to really annoy them. As a rule we do our best to get along with neighbours of properties we hunt but some times you just can't compromise with people, the good part is they usually move from the city for a tree change and really get under the skin of the locals. If the owner don't like and doesn't mind then ****** it, go shoot trap for a weekend a "reasonable distance from his house"
  6. I have owned a bunch of Remington over the years, from little model 7's to SPA and XCR's and they have never let me down. I have also owned, and own both the 243win and the 308win and find that if 85% of your hunting is small game with the odd small/medium deer then the 243 will do, but if your shooting 50/50bmg small/big game or any large deer then go strait to the 308win and forget the 243 all together.
  7. I hate red filters, their crapping, buy a hid light instead, I will.never go back to another light now.
  8. Honestly, it won't make a lick of difference either way, cost of ammo maybe.
  9. BB's or #2 shot for me, I have seen too many fours run after getting hit at range with #4 shot.
  10. I don't know, here we have pigs and cats that will kill lambs so I'm sure that other animals will as well.
  11. If its one problem fox that's more of a case of "it has to go" as opposed to "i want to shoot it" and it is feeding on bits then dose one up with a half tea spoon of lawn grub killer. That's what we did every year on the farm.
  12. I have no worries over shooting foxes with a 4100gn, shot a heap with one as a kid, however if I couldn't get 3" #4 shot then I would buy roll crimp shells, POP the top, swap the shot with BB's or split shot sinkers and that realy used to smack them good.
  13. I always liked a full choke of 36gm BBs when flushing, driven or waiting out foxes, although when there taking animals like that we always preferred to trap them. Always worked better and faster.
  14. The 2-7X36 Kahles is my all time favorite scope and the 8x56 is a mate of mines scope of choice. I rate them very highly as the best value for money, high quality top end scope around.
  15. I used a 308win for years as my all round rifle, long range goats and spotlighting foxes, it should be just fine. Another option is a 25cal or .264 as great all round choice, but I have always found the 6mm family to be a poor choice for deer.
