  1. I advise watching caddy shack for inspiration, its gophers but still good.
  2. New licence turned up today, cannot fault that so don't know what it was all about.
  3. I do a bit of vermin shooting nothing that size! I know its totally different here for me im not shooting to survive. They have massive respect for the animals and the land but that person seems to miss more than than hits things. Maby thats why they need the tv money!
  4. There was 2 of them shooting one had what looks like 5.56 and the other a old army bolt action so must be around the 303 cal, later she tried to shoot a swan with it. Life below zero the thaw was the program.
  5. Dont know if this was just tv adding shots to make it look more dramatic but it took 8 shots to kill one and injure another which was finished at 20 yards. Is this how they do it in the wilds of alaska? I know its for food but if i could not hit and clean kill the animal I would not be taking the shot.
  6. I have used some eley trap carts recently and thought they were cracking, these were crimped not rto. Have not gone at any long distance clays yet but at normal ranges they really hit the spot. Also used a box of hulls trap carts think they were 14g and liked them too. Because i had them i shot a few of the 9g 2" at a going away target and as long as it was in the right place it did the trick but sounded like a spud gun going off!
  7. They own a few of the brands they sell so the core stuff can be cheap as there is no middle man. Can only be good if they think theres a market for the stuff.
  8. I phoned them 2 days ago asking about having a re print of my license and asked how long it would take and got a really odd answer, i was told that "before i could have given you a idea but now i cannot" whatever that means, i took it as budget cuts and not to hold my breath, might be reloading if i cannot buy carts anytime soon!
  9. I have a 3-9 x40 illuminated i can add to it for some more money! Or a red dot sight if you like that sort of thing!
  10. Leeds asda is too scummy to stock them.

    Chainsaws

Is the bar in good order? If the chain is not tight in the groove it can walk off to one side and just stops cutting. Could the chain be catching somewhere on the inside of the saw causing it to blunt. Any metal shards in the sawdust? Short of that im out of suggestions. The chain should last longer than that so something is going wrong.
  12. Bought these today and have no idea about them, i have had a few oldham lamps from my caving days and the lamps are the same type but the battery box is a smaller unit with a 6v 1.5a sla battery inside. Would love to know the make and if they were any good!
  13. I have a westlake custom b2 in .22 sat here doing nothing if you want a cheepie close range rifle £40 plus post.
  14. It is a bit mad, i got some bits at a auction and sold the stuff I did not want and made some good money! Still got a silencer which has a flash unit in it and when a golw in the dark pellet goes through it it flashes and charges the pellet up.
  15. When i did a barrel i used a hair drier to dry off the moisture and warm it at the same time and the results were great!
  16. Cool, do they use tracer rounds in there night combat?
  17. If you want a good watch about the climbers in the valley this is about as good as it gets!
  18. Just blunt the chain and teach them a lesson, i once did 2ft of board cutting on a brand new chain before hitting a huge nail that must have been from a old "im going to climb that tree nail" 104 cutters to sharpen was not fun!
  19. I did a job the other week felling 2 trees and i left the main trunks and agreed to come and plank them in a weeks time and went back today and the smaller trunk has done a disappearing act! It wasn't the smallest bit of wood a 2 decent man lift! Going to leave a un bucked log there tomorrow with a few huge screws in it hidden and hope they come back and take it! Rant over.
  20. I have had to do 2 fuel lines this year that have lasted no more than 2 years due to hardening and cracking so might go over to aspen in the less used tools. They love the stuff over on one of the cuting forums!
  21. He's going after thor!
  22. I would buy a 023 or if money allowed a 026, weight is the killer for bucking all day. 038s are great but would the extra weight be worth it? Im just a wimp so a light saw means I can do a full days work with a small saw and only bring out the big guns when needed.
