  1. There is nothing wrong with knives and there is nothing wrong with anybody of any age owning or having a knife.

Of course you wouldn't give one to a small child as they are likely to cut themselves but other than that they are fine.

I have had knives since I was about 6 IIRC, we used to go and buy them from the local chemist/toy shop with our pocket money and unaccompanied at that. I have never stabbed anyone, threatened to stab anyone or even felt the urge to do so.

Rather than banning knives or demonising them as they have done they should be educating why it is wrong to stab people. I think it is a terrible shame how all knives are now seen as the work of the devil as they very clearly are not where the problem lies.

i have experienced exactly that............whats really hacks me off is that i have paid every week/mth into NHS for all my life ...and this is how im treated...........DONT EVEN ASK ME ABOUT DENTISTS

before covid my surgery was fairly good i could get in to see them on the day.........they seem to have used covid as an excuse to do less.........its got to the stage if i saw a doctor on the side of the road i would even stop the **** on them to put the fire out..........doctors ...dentists...and vets...need to be viewed down iron sights

Mum was ill a year ago and the service she received was diabolical. She eventually passed but it was a 6 month nightmare for myself and my brother providing 24 hour care and both trying to run our jobs too.

It left me with a very bitter view of GPs and the NHS in general.

Since November I have been diagnosed with cancer myself and I have to say that the GP and any other NHS service I have called upon have been faultless both in speed and how they have looked after me.

My biggest regret is that Mum didn't have a bit more of the care I have received as I can cope without but Mum needed it.

  3. Why is it a surprise it is healing?

It was certain chemicals causing the damage and the world agreed to stop making those chemicals.

As a result the damage is slowly repairing, that's good news isn't it?

I dont believe the strike action has had any material effect on demand or patient safety,

I had to have an operation before I could commence cancer treatment, this was cancelled due to the nurses strike and rescheduled for a fortnight later. Fingers crossed that delay hasn't affected my outcome and I don't feel it has but I doubt that is true in every case.

  5. I had a guy come to my yard to buy something off me. My yard is in the middle of nowhere, nobody there but me, not likely that anyone else is going to turn up and this guy is wearing a mask talking to me from about 6 inches away.

    ***?

It isn't normal to be that close mask or no mask, covid or no covid. Some people are just odd, actually a lot of them are.

So how does that equate to the fact that if you've got a flat you still have to stop the car and attempt to pump up the wheel wth a toy compressor or the fact that if for some reason you can't inflate The tyre you are stuck waiting for recovery.?

    It doesn't.

I was being sarcastic as no spare wheel and no hard shoulder are about as stupid as each other.

  7. The supermarket gets the money.

That is why they are much more keen for you to have a bag these days.

At one point it was a tax but now it is just another sale, this is why it has changed from you having to ask for a bag and pay 5p to the cashier asking you how many bags you would like.

  8. I've seen redback spiders in Australia, what struck me most about them is just how aggressive they are.

In UK spiders generally scurry away, redbacks don't they seem to dance about looking for a way to attack you. That was my impression anyway.

What struck the redback the most was a hammer. 🤣

Also seen several brown snakes out there too, they are ok unless it is hot was my take on them. Rightly or wrongly I shot one of them but mostly steered clear and let them be.

you need to drink at least 5 litres of water

I'd say my missus sweated out about twice that after her last booster.

Didn't feel ill or anything but had to change the bedclothes and sleep on a towel. Honestly you would think she had peed the bed. She's only 46!
