  1. Exactly the same as me except I ditched the (cheating) wife and got a girlfriend 12 years younger than me. (I have been with the girlfriend for 18 years now)

    New format

Same here. It was a bit of a shock when I first saw it but really don't see what all the moaning is about. Don't understand the "show new posts" issues either cos they work fine for me too. Carry on.
  5. Guard your empty horse trailers at Beeston. Turn your back and they will be filled!
  6. If everyone in Britain that moaned about the weather had to move out it would be pretty deserted.
  7. Glad you asked, I had forgotten to send mine off.
  8. My Dad bought my BRNO model 2 new in 1969 and I can still hit rabbits beyond 120 yds with it. Has had a good few thousand rounds through it but not millions as until more recent years I couldn't afford to feed it too much. Just done the sums and even a modest average of 1000 rounds a year puts it on 40,000 rounds.I think I am going to give a best guess of 20,000 rounds in its life. I have been thinking about getting a new gun, silencer etc but I keep coming back to the fact that this BRNO does anything any other gun I could buy could do.
  9. How did you hit that? You can't hold the camera very steady, how do you manage with a gun.
  10. Email your ex-client and tell them you can try and sort it for them but your prices have gone up 15%.
  11. Myself and a group of friends were shooting some clays in my field. I noticed a pair of clays clinking against each other as they came over (we were sending the clays over some big conifers) I asked if you were allowed to shoot two with one cartridge and was told that was fine. Imagine their surprise (and mine actually) when I did just that with the next pair. Had to wait until they were clinking against each other but it was deliberate.
  12. top tip: do not have the tip of your thumb behind that lever when you fire it, you will hurt! I'm not painting a very good picture am I. Could be I keep bad company and skinflint farmers are not the ones to be looking after these things. Hope yours is none of the above
  13. Last time out with mine it failed to go bang when I pulled the trigger, that was the end of it for me. My father bought it new about 40 years ago, for £13 IIRC, so it has some sentimental value. It was also the first 12 bore I ever fired (also about 40 years ago, it knocked me flat!! (I was only 8) Shot plenty of Eley Maximums through it over the years, and claimed many hares with them too. Only time I ever remember my father praising me was when I shot 3 hares in a 2 acre field while he lamped with the ploughing lamp on the tractor. We were paid £10 bounty on hares back then and we earned a small fortune that night. As I say, it has sentimental value. Load was not something that bothered me (or the gun) it was the falling to bits thing that was the issue. Most folk had one back in the day, most fell to bits too.
  14. Hold it very tight the first time you pull the trigger. Have never known one that doesn't break on its own and eject the cart past your earhole and give you a face full of smoke (at best). They usually fall to bits after each shot and usually come wrapped in insulation tape to hold them together. I have one too.
  15. I was only thinking this morning that the air felt like the geese would be here any day now. Might sound daft but it's what I thought.
  16. I'm interested to know how you get an IBC into the loft! Going to be a right mither getting it up the stairs lol

  18. A gun I bought months ago is still advertised on there. Think I bought it in March.
  19. Do you know how much money has gone into facilities since the National Lottery was set up? Did you know we came in at 10th in 2004 and moved up to 4th in 2008, which was probably due to that increased funding of facilities? I'm not so sure Britain is broken, it is more a case of we are determined to convince one another that we are. We should manage gold, silver and bronze in being miserable ******* anyway.
  20. I was asking. I have a rimfire mod on my ticket and it is now classed as a firearm in itself (feo told me that). My reasoning from that is you can't put an un-ticketed mod onto a rimfire. I may of course be wrong in which case I have spammed your thread. On the other hand I could be right and just prevented you from committing an offence.
  21. Is it possible to have a moderator for a rimfire off ticket? ( I don't have a mod for sale by the way)
  22. I don't know tbh.

Only marking I can see that might give a clue are 15.5 and 15.8 stamped on both barrels.
