  1. I was Reading upbon the site the other day myself I was thinking of trying but couldn't be bothers in the end. This was the most helpful thing I found to explain taken of google. Money Making Machine Is it me, or is no one else seeing the behind the scenes here?? All these sites, madbid, fastbid and all the other pay per bid (timer restricted) websites out there aren't necessarily scams, not as per definition of the word "scam"... but more like a ingenious way of making thousands of £££'s using the end-users greed and lack of understanding of what lays under the surface. > The items are legitimate, postage is free and you definitely get the item in question - so really no scam here... now here's the catch (and please let me not be the only one to see this): Let's say that you buy the pack of 40 bid for £24.00, what you basically doing is pay £1.66 per bid (40/£24.00). Each bid you place when you hit that [bID NOW!] button is equivalent, or actually is 1p (one penny!!). Right here you should start asking yourself questions, but this isn't it yet!! So you are basically paying £1.66 per every 1p. Now this is not what will bring you to stop because, technically, you could win a bid by just bidding once (very unlikely but true). So "technically" you could have actually bided only once (£1.66) for something and won... e.g - ooooh let's say you were going for that LG 50" Plasma TV I'm looking at right now - current cost £100.31, so you place your bid and for some REALLY strange reason no one else bids... YOU WON! So this telly would have actually only cost you £101.98 (cost of plasma tv £100.32(incl your 1p) + your bid cost £1.66)! No gimmicks, no scam... but the likelihood of that bid stop at £100.31 - very low! So again you should see where this is going - if after you enter your bid and if someone else also really wants that telly (which is most likely what will happen) he/she will hit that [bID NOW!] button and there it goes, price goes up and so does the timer. Next thing you know you are bidding once again... and on and on and on.... the psychological effect of looking at a price of something and seeing it go up by pennies instead of pounds is extreme... you will forget for a second that you are actually paying £1.66 per every penny that the item goes up(on your bid). > So by now all this should have made you stop, think twice and revaluate if this is the best option of getting it on to a great bargain. If this hasn't deterred you yet, think about something else: who is to say (and no theory of conspiracy here) that there aren't planted bidders who ensure that that item doesn't sell too low? People do it all the time on ebay... Now how do this people make money? They're not only making money, they're actually "printing it"!! Quick Calc Same telly: LG 50" Plasma TV - sold for £101.38 How many bids were needed to bring the price of that telly up to that price?? I'll tell you - 101.38 x 100 = 10,138 bids (100 pennies per pound = 100 bids per every pound)!!! C'mon don't you see it yet??? 10,138 x £1.66 = £16,829.08. We have collectively, as bidders paid for that telly £16,829.08!!!! Either I'm miscalculating something here or this is a cash making machine! Hope this helps! Please reply!

    Jill jabs

I never see it this way,I did think that if my other ferret was in season then I could have had her dome in the price but she still not swollen, I'd give the money all day long because the ferrets worth double her weight in gold, the sore point iv got Is beingtold one price then getting charged another, probly time to get another vets like someone already said.
  3. Alrite lads,iv just come back from a trip to the vets with one of my jills. Iv just paid 60 pound to have her injected to bring her out of season,I couldn't beleive how dear it was, especially when on the phone she said she can't see it being dearer than 40 pound. Iv stil got one more who ain't in yet,Definitly gana try and use a vasectomised hob on her, the point of the post is really just to see how much anyone elses vets are charging,I can't help feeling I'm having my pants pulled down!!
  4. I got my first 177 nearly two years ago now and until recently never looked back,my permissions have chaned though and I'm finding myself doin more hide shooting and slot of pigeon roost shooting at close ranges and over penertrating quite alot. That's the only thing that puts me off 20 Id getting the pellets but I'm sir I could buy in bulk.
  5. It is good sport mate, especialy in the summe evenings just before the sun goes down. Cheers everyone for the coments,it's my biggest bag in one session so far so i thought I'd try take a few alf decent pictures.
  6. Air arms s410 pre anti tamper, you can adjustvtr power of these but uv been told they are sensitive and only need the slightest tween to affect the ft lb. Also probably a long shot but keep a eye out for a skan rifle.these are hand made to order and on some have a power adjuster type **** thing on the underneath. A pest controller friend of mine uses one and they are the dogs ballbags mate,Bearing in mind he takes it down to around 8-9 ftlb and still penetrates the roof if he misses the power adjuster helps with the pellet goin in the bird and straight out again.
  7. Cheers everyone,i was a bit trigger happy hadn't been out for nearly a month. Farmer of the futur,Yes it is a young, this is not a sporting permission this is clear as quick as I can due to the farmers cattle going down the shallow holes where the rabbits are burrowing underneath the fences on the margins.I would like to leave them for next season if i could but he wants to see results. And I went for it in 177 salop sniper but starting to wish I got it in 22 a little bit. If funds allow I might try and get it converted into a 20 caliber
  8. Hopefully you don't don't want to start customisingthe gun when you've bought everything you can from the gun shop. But from what iv seen the r10 looks lovely when The shrouds shortend with a twink mk2 silencer added on.
  9. Cheers mate, will look into that when or if I get granted my sgc.
  10. Iv had a leak which was due to me emptying the bottle and the bottle coming loose and damaging the oring, other than that nothing iv had it 16 months now and I love this gun more than the missus now. One more thing any BSA rifle you get now make sure it cones with the new magazine system,I found the old ones to be rubbish, these new ones are faultless.
  11. I don't see it as a put down,I said in my original post I know I'm not goin to learn it from a book.I just thougtvut would help a little but more. The flight lines i'm confident I know from my time on the old permission when shooting them with an air rifle. I'll be honest with you I live next to heathrow airport just outside London and I don't know anyone who die hard pigeon shoots around here,a few people who shoot but just a bit of rough shooting. Cheers for the advice fellas I'll just have to get myself out there and just keep trying until something works. Jake
  12. went out for a days shooting sunday, got to the permission at about half 4 in the morning and stayed untill about 2ish.most of the sport was had early morning but the woodies were still landing and keeping the sport going until the afternoon, also toook a crow which was used for a decoy so not in the picture. cheers for looking jake
  13. got that sorted mate, im just wanting some things to read aswell if im in for bit of a wait.
  14. Alright lads,iv just sent of my form for my sgc,im mainly going to be pigeon and corvid shooting. Ive already got the permission which ive held for some years which ive been controlling the vermin and pests with the airrifles, now the landowner has aquired the surrounding fields which i know from seing the flocks of woodies destrying the crops from my trips on the old land are not goin to be stoppd with airrifles. There is a man who was shooting the land with the old owners permission so we are going to hit it witha joint attack. Now what i want to know is what are the most helpfull and bassicly the best books to buy on pigeon shooting and basic shotgun shooting pointers and info,i know i wont be able to learn everything from a book but surely it will give me a bit of a push in the right direction, i am searching the forum to but thoght it would help to have it all in one book. thanks in advance jake
