  1. Where do you guys fish? Anybody else fish Hanningfield in Essex, thats my local
  2. They just dont want to no.Ive got aspinner but that doesnt seem to work either.
  3. I been asked shoot some crows/rooks by the farmer They are giving the pea field, which is 30 yrds in front of thier rook wood, some stick When you walk in the wood they all clear off predictably but they also dont like to decoy.Wots the best way of getting them,i thought of a owl decoy against the wood and get them flighting back
  4. Its not quite as good as it seems though, they have to be shot with non toxic shot. With the price of steel shot £170 per 1000 can sting your pocket on windy 'not coming in' days.
  5. I roost shot till 8.30 last night, got 11, there crops were either empty or chitted peas, pea leaf or rape.
  6. Going through the site i found an entry asking about how much you get for pigeons, but i couldnt find it again to reply.I have sevaral outlets all paying 40p and i cant shoot enough of them(hence the name )
  7. Does this mean i get another square yet?
  8. AR-HAA so the great YP has got a calculater, thanks for the maths lesson it will come in handy............Doooh! :rolleyes Thanks Hammergun
  9. What do the blue boxes mean ?
  10. I use a 20 bore Beretta 687S,never had any ejection problems even with steel shot. Being a32g man i used 28g 6s to start with until someone told me it was equal to a12b magnum! So ive dropped to25g 6s, much less kick And Hunter boy they do work
  11. 1st time ive done this hope it works. Ive been using steel shot for pigeons (and duck) for 2 years now and it is no where as good as lead over 25 yrds. But short of this distance it can be as nearly as good. We tested the theory by mixing steel and lead in the bag, shooting, and then seeing what shot we had used. At this distance there was nothing between them. So what i do now is go out with bags of both, and if it looks like a good decoy day i use steel,if its a flighty, jinky spinner day i use lead. The best load ive found is 32grm 4's or5's Super steel, through 1/4 or 1/2 choke, but dont put full choke or it could blow ya barrels up! The biggest draw back is (an elephants forskin) NO,is you must leave the longer birds, but on a good deekin' day not so bad. If ya wondering why i use non-toxic its because alot of my mates fly birds of prey, and the bestfood they can feed on is good old woodie,so i keep separate freezers of each.
