NTTF , normally a size 10 or 12 hook through the thorax will hold them on just fine.
-
Yes its actually called dapping and is done with mayflies eg: http://www.mossycreek.com/lough_corrib%20pics.htm
-
Thanks badsworth , ill be able to make on of those no bother at all.
-
How do you use the string to get it off the bone ?
-
Yeah and especially as they come fartory threaded.Got a price on threading and putting a T4 on my H&R SB2 and it would cost more than the rifle .Not going to bother now , just gonna get a .223 instead .
-
Nice frank, keep up the good work.I used to have a rifle like that , im sorry i ever got rid of it now.Traded it in against a single shot .22 hornet
-
Yeah have that done already , got a normal kitchen chair and now its rock solid Its only really for the time being anyways until i get my range setup properly with a hut , will make cast concrete benches then.
-
Zero is set at 100metres and for a 200metre shot i aim 2.5 inches high. For 300metres I would be aiming 10.5 inches high when zero is at 100metres.For a close shot say 50metres bullet hits 1/2inch low... So as you can see its a fairly flat shooting Gun
-
Yeah its pretty heavy alright,Its only really for zeroing the guns now and again and for a bit of target shooting.
-
