  1. Can't speak for all but - shaun4860 & me (markm) in a syndicate together. mosa shoots pigeons on the same land, zero's .22 on the same (will eventually) and shoots vermin on golf courses. Stuey will get a go of my .243 soon on the same land and is just getting into deer stalking. All Northumberland (South East) Bit like the masons really! Why?
  2. English simply because the (scottish) ones who think they are hard wear kilts. However these are only at the borders as the further north you go they know they are scottish and they don't bother or worry about it. Border boys worry about their genes (They are watered down by english which makes them better people) so try to feel a bit more secure by wearing a skirt and think it says "I'm a real scot!"
  3. Hello Just like to say dont ask for shooting straight the away, we need to get to know ya first. We have already had an anti today, so fill out your profile and to the watch Auntie who? I only have one and don't speak to her. Sorry not funny!

  5. Going off at a bit of a tangent here, I have always wondered what would happen if a christian built a church in a muslim country. Anyone have any ideas?

    poker

I play on a daily basis, having used all the big un's nothing beats poker.com (the original not carbon poker.com) as it has the best interface going. I play real money and play and blindly refuse to sign up to facebook as I am that sick of getting invited to join they must be desperate!
  10. Shaun Have you asked WGR to get some sort of compensation from sako for you? When you spend that much on a .22 and there is problems you should get it, you could threaten to go down the route of the goods not being of merchantable quaility and demand a new one that would cost them more or your money back Northumbria FL are undertsanding about this and will give you a quick like for like etc etc. I know cos I've been there.
  11. Meez A Gangsta Man. Mi'll put da cap in da *** punk!!!!!!
  12. mosa Go with winchester as I am sure a quad will shoot anything straight but you can get winnies at - Mcdermots, greens, weldon & bywell. PS - Are you now getting a SAK from WGR? And as soon as you get it give me a text to zero at SL, I will come with you cos I want a GO!!!!!
  13. TBH I am not sure even a cartridge with powder in would get it moving as the bullets / barrel surface area will be quiet large. When the bullet originally 'launches' it is only held in place by a soft copper jacket before it hits the rifleing. I would imaging the pressures to be massive as well. I would be interested to see the results in a controlled / safe environment. Anyone up for a bit of myth busters?
  14. I would of thought it would just push up a little further into the barrel and make it even harder to get out. Why not shake each round when loaded in a quiet room to check for powder, if your using factory ammo I would change brand and if your reloading or someone is doing it for you I would worry about quality control. Gunsmiths use a brass rod, bore guide and a hide mallet to knock them out and I am sure they have to go from chamber to barrel end as to not damage the barrel. I think the guy from the US who is an expert / writer on reloading (can't remember his name) sums it up when you see his hand, its not there!!!! As he got some reloads wrong when he was younger.
  15. I guess browning / miroku will of ironed out any problems with the citori, 325 and 425. As you have a 20g 525 you must know what they are like. I have a G5 Miroku MK70 and the finish is closer to that of a hand made gun costing thousands. Whilst it does not make you shoot any better it is nice to own a good piece of wood and nice engraving (even if it is acid etched!!!)

    .17HMR

Does anyone know if there is much sound difference 100yds down range?
  17. I am looking for some trustworthy individual (s) to shoot pigeons and crows at my request (especially at short notice during the week and weekends) I insist that the individual(s) stick to the following rules if interested - Only shoot pigeons and crows - Absolutley no game as there is a paying syndicate who release birds on the land. Only come up when asked, I run the shoot and everything else on the land, I am the boss!!! If you came up without being asked I would class that as trespassing and I would call the police. No trying to get in with the farmer to get on when you like. The syndicate pays a lot of money for the land and I have an excellent relationship with the farmer - he would tell me and you would loose some free shooting. Only go where asked on the land no matter what. No bringing up friends unless agreed. Basically if you treat some free sport as if you were on a let day on an estate then I would be happy. From now until Feb on request, from Feb onwards you can ask to go up and will most probably be told 'No problem get yourself up there'
  18. shot 3 cubs a couple of months ago with .17 hmr, one in the throat face one, one in the head through the mouth and one in the chest. first 2 at 75 - 100 yards dropped straight down, the last at 50 yards dead cent but it went down but not dead. lets just say that a CF would of gutted it with the third shot and would not of even twitched so unless you can head shoot 100% don't even think about it. With a .22 I would only shoot if desperate to get rid of them, I would rather leave them and come back the next day and same time with the .243.
  19. the bet is - 2 x over the limit, found guilty in court, lost licence for 18 months found £500+ etc etc and will you ever get it back without a massive fight
  20. If you get done will you loose your certificate? No I don't do it and never would but want to know due to a 'bet'
  21. I am interested if you need the cash. PM sent and I am local.
  22. nikko sterling night eater x56 model , it ain't no swav, pecar, s&b etc etc but at less than 1/3 of the price (£150) they are worth it. (I have a swav on my .243 an a NE on my HMR).
