  1. They are both lead loads , any steel will say on the box. Most auto's and particularly the escort's prefer cartridges of 70mm or over so you may get some feed issues , other than that the only practical difference is they will fit guns with shorter chambers , bye the way case length is measured on a fired case , so yours are likely to be more than 2 1/4 inch I am guessing 65-67 mm , the newer clear pigeon are 70mm
  2. A seven year old thread revival , is that a new PW record ?
  3. I have given up on the videos for now mate , they way I have been shooting I thought it would be one less thing to concentrate on ! Your peas may come good when they are cut , there has been nothing on mine until they were vined.
  4. Still plenty of work to do with Drake Paul , he is nice and steady but needs more work on following directions from me rather than going into headless chicken mode when sent for a blind.
  5. I decide I was going to have another look at some of the pea stubbles this afternoon . I was at work last night so the plan was to get up around 10.30 and head off to have a look which field offered the best chance . That plan went out the window when I was woken by the phone ringing at 12.30 ! I could only shoot till 5pm today so I rushed around loaded the car and dog up and was heading out by 1pm . The first two fields I checked had nothing on them the third just a handful , fortunately the next one I looked at had a few birds down and one or two joining them . I got set up with fifteen decoys and two magnets and was shooting by 2.30pm. I did not have to wait too long for one or two to start visiting the pattern and I had some steady shooting for two hours mostly pigeons but a few crows put in a appearance and I was pleased to shoot a nice triple on them . I started packing up at 4.45pm and picked 44 pigeons and 7 crows.
  6. Try to flag off any smaller laid patches , if you have one a magnet can work wonders in laid cereals . Limit you shooting to birds that are right over the laid area so they can be picked much easier and without causing more damage

    Sparrows..

I think the old spadger was the number one target for us as young lads with our airguns , starlings too , different times , I would not dream of it now days . It did give me a lifelong love of airguns though. I still get 100s in my garden fortunately
  8. Norfolk is a big county where abouts are you ?
  9. Sorry if you thought I was having a dig , that was not intended , you gave the answer I expected . The situation with bass is farcical at the moment IMO
  10. Nice fish , I thought you could legally only take one though ?

The recipient will get a received time for the email anyway regardless of what time it was sent.
  12. Ah perfect , a sack of corn and some layers pellets then -------sorted
  13. Its my 30th this year , I am not getting the wife anything , I figured she has me and that is more than enough
  14. Well done , a great report of a very good day and well done on picking almost all of them .
  15. Well done , you have had to be patient .
  16. I only just realised you wanted 30 grams of 7s scratch all my suggestions , that will cost you as it is normally only some of the premium game loads available in that . That two grams really is not going to make much difference though !
  17. They come in both plastic and fibre , Just Cartridges perhaps do not stock the full range.
  18. There are a few , Eley pigeon select , gamebore clear pigeon to name two . Fiocchi do make a 30 gram load , I use Fiocchi pigeon 32 which is a 32 gram load but they also do one called PL30 which is a 30 gram.
  19. My suggestion is still looking the best option
  20. They may not be ideal but I am betting many 1000s of people have started their shooting career with the little 410. If that is all she can presently manage weight wise you have answered your own question really . Just bare in mind the guns limits when picking targets for her to shoot , nice easy ones that she has a good chance of hitting , much more interesting than missing difficult ones for them at that age . Move up the gauges as she grows and is able to handle the increased weight.
  21. Surely the original A5 is one of the most iconic , I would also say the Remington 1100 has to be up there .
  22. I have done the opposite , gone from being fishing mad , had articles in the angling times , won some of the drennan cup awards for pike and zander , did a lot of match fishing , moved on to carp fishing for a number of years then got tired of it and packed it all in , all I do now is a bit of beach and boat fishing a handful of times a year.
