I used a 44 gram load Nick. CGR 30 wad 36 grains Alliant steel Cheddite case ( 3") CX2000 primer I felt spacer under. Un buffered . That did the Job nicely and gave around 85% patterns at 50 yards using a Briley light full.

I have had posts removed for asking how much a gun is worth , so it may be that.
-
So you go shooting as well a fixing things ? Well done hopefully we will be reading more of your forays .

I cant see much point in seeing what others budget , it comes down to what you yourself can comfortably afford. It's not a cheap pastime when everything is taken into consideration. Once you have met all your financial obligations for the month then just budget a sensible amount from whats left , if you have £200 to spare you have £50 a week for the shooting over the following month.

Well done PC , you do look a little damp .
-
Are you sure you still know what a proper pigeon looks like ? I bet you saw no orange on the field and drove past

It's only about 4 miles from mine , they are certainly looking to get on the wheat now , as yet I have no decent laid areas though and I refuse to shoot birds I have little chance of picking.

They are not a magic crop , last year I shot a couple of half decent bags but the pigeons were late getting on them . This season despite having 7 or 8 pea fields to go at some which I would say are in good pigeon areas I have not even set up on them as there are no birds. The trouble is there is a glut of other options for them this time of year.

Well done, judging from what I saw Saturday you left at least 7 empties behind.
-
Well done , it must be a relief when you have a decent paid day.

Happy 61st , it must have been a hard paper round
-
Are you using a steam stripper , as that will blow the plaster if not used with care .
-
Well done indeed , that is a great result.

England are so poor its embarrassing , no passion.

A excellent bag , was these too shot with the 410 ? If so it's even more remarkable , clover is a crop I have never shot over as very little land is given to pasture in these parts.

Looks like a Badger to me.
-
Its just a standard SFS tune, cost about £70 IIRC. Me too its the one gun I will not be parted with.
-
Not as far as the camera makes it look , around 20 yards I would say. I reckon I could shoot gnats off that wire with a daystate
-
Just in case you forget how good a tuned springer is evo . I just bagged this pigeon with my 97KT , I always go for the head shot and the old 97 usually delivers. I can shoot quite a few off that wire when they start taking a interest in the barley .
