  2. Just a couple of things in their defence.

     

    You cannot use foam on a car fire as the foam needs to be laid as a blanket, LOTS of water is the solution. In 20+ years of firefighting I have never seen a petrol tank explode and that includes a petrol tanker on fire.

    There may have been several reasons for the whole-time firefighters not being there, main one is they may have been at another incident.

    Foam can & does get used on car fires, it does not need to be aspirated to knock the fire down, which can be applied from any branch,after the fire has been attacked a foam branch can then be used to put a blanket down to stop reigniting of said fire. However you are quite right I have never seen a petrol tank explode as they do in the movies. I am no expert in these matters but I do have 17 years fire service ( whole time & airport ) experience

  3. Yeah it just wants to get out & pick something up, it's great at retrieving, whistle commands etc, you would think if you got a clip every time you whined you'd stop doing it, I'll probably just leave it at home when at the ducks in future or leave I in truck til I need it to pick up.
