Personally I would not spend close to £200 on my mounts for my air rifle although on my Center fire I would not put cheap ones on at all and have spent the dosh. If you want to scrimp, spend less on the rifle and more on the scope and mounts, Ruin the ship for an ha'peth o' tar

I have a T8 on my .223 it is fab, spray WD40 down it occassionaly to prevent rust and just having my 6.5x55 threaded to take it as well.

As I understand the law it is legal to use electronic calling for crow, apologies my previous post was misleading it is illegal to use electronic calls for Geese and Woodies. I made my e caller from off the net, it works great.

Traditionally you have two aspects to this question and can be answered thus: If you are a land owner you do not necissarily own the shooting rights, thats why it says on your ticket "permission from the land owner or the person whom has the shooting rights" Just because someone owns land it doesn't follow they own the shooting rights aswell they are generally sold off seperately or if you want you can sell the land and retain the shooting rights which means the owner of said rights or his rep can exercise his right over the land and as a landowner there is little you can do about it. You must provide access. If a farmer leases land or fields it does not necisarrily follow he has the shooting rights so if you go a shootin be careful you could be committing armedtrespass in the pursuit of game which is a criminal offence. Or poaching, either way your ticket(s) are at risk best to check it out.

Thanks Q (sounds very James bondish huh? ) I did have quite a conversation with them, they told me they know what it is and that they have been trying for ages to source the part I need but to no avail. Ollie: I was just making my position very clear as the part I am looking for if added incorrectly makes the snare a locking snare which is illegal in the UK but set the other way it is legal, it difficult to explain. Think I need to clarify a few things here:- Firstly, the surelock thingy if set up INCORRECTLY turns your snare into an illegal item. Secondly, I have checked the legal status and to use such components in the correct manner is completely legal hence my request for help.
