Hi folks, Anyone own / shot / seen / handled one?(not that I need a 3.5” chambered over under, just curious) Would the barrels fit a standard B525 receiver? Interested to hear peoples thoughts. Scrummy

Email Franchi. I’ve found them helpful. That pumps receiver reminds me of an old savage: Very Cool! https://trulockchokes.com/choke_interchange_list.html https://store.geminichokes.com/en/chokes/12-gauge/12-gauge-franchi/12-gauge-franchi-mobilchoke gemini are helpful and post direct to you

It’s interesting the pump noise. Shooting a semi auto to me is slightly disconcerting as there’s mechanical noise every shot, not caused by me. A pump makes similar noise but because I do it, don’t find it disconcerting. welcome! Scrummy

Don’t know about an 870 but Valmont firearms had “chromed” / synthetic mossberg 590s with a 24” barrel

Sorry to hear that matey! I’ll look out for some of your collection. Sure to be good quality!

Starting out in slug reloading
Scrumbag replied to Scrumbag's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Thanks very much! Think I have a lot to learn. -
Hi there, I’m looking for some advice on starting out on reloading 12b slugs. Ideally of the Cervo / Thug Slug type that I can shoot at Bisley and perhaps take to Croatia to shoot wild boar (I think Gualandi do some suitable hunting slugs but would welcome advice). I reload my own metallic cartridges and currently use Unique for some of my .44 mag reloading so if could find a powder that would work for slugs and .44 mag loads, that would be great. I have also recently won at an auction a Mec Slugger press so I can handle resizing, charging and crimping. So my questions are: Is there a good load manual to get? (I was wondering about downloading the ballistics product manual) Powder – Can I use Unique are another powder which is available which would suit .44 mag plinking loads Do I need any other tools besides the press? What about consumables? Am I likely to need an overshot card for weather proofing (particularly for hunting)? Is a Cervo / Thug Slugs OK at Bisley? Will I need “spacers” for COAL? What’s a good primer to get? Are there any particular hulls to get / avoid? (I have access to some S&B and Geco slug hulls + various high brass pheasant and fowling loads) Is there anything else I should be asking? No advice too basic! Thanks in advance, Scrummy

Morning folks, Well, not a bad morning. 1 hen mallard and 1 canada for 7 shots with the Mossberg 535. (Should have been less, 3 were at a duck that I had a really bad mount for, those 42gr 3.5" No.3 Mamouths are going leave a mark on my arm). Canada fell to a 42gr 3.5 Winchester blindside No.1 Scrummy
