Morning all, Having thought about it a little more, I am willing to RFD this, and I will also pay the fees at my end (within reason). -
Lincoln No.2 - Sideplate 12 gauge

Apologies for the late responses on Gunwatch - the notifications were going to my spam folder. To answer a few points... Yes, the action is solid and it's tight on its face. The blueing on the barrels is good too. The gun has an 11mm rib, a brass mid bead and a red stud end bead. Yes, the recoil pad fitted is a Kick-Eez (grind to fit) pad. No, I'm not interested in a swap. No, I won't RFD (I've had a bad experience in the past which has put me off). And yes, it's still available. Thanks, W12 -

Many thanks, I've made a few enquiries now

Forgive my ignorance, but is 'gun fit' an activity that a coach would normally be competent to assess? I'm not just talking about shaving a 1/4' off the stock, I want it to fit perfect, drop, cast, comb, LOP etc. Many thanks for your replies.

Evening all, I'm hoping someone could point me in the direction of a reputable 'gun fit' assessor (does such a title exists?) in the North West? I've been shooting for 10 years now and consider myself to be an average shot. But I've got the classic problem of 'too many guns in the cabinet', all of which have a different LOP, cast and comb! Whilst I don't want to part with any of them, I think the time has come to invest in a new O/U to cover everything, bar my wildfowling. And with that in mind, I'd like this new one to fit like a glove. I'd be very grateful if you could recommend anyone? Particularly someone who can do the necessary stock mods too. Thanks in advance. W12

Anybody for a little woodcock shooting?

Very good!

Still available if anyone wants this?

I've no doubt I will, it's usually the most productive part of the season for me

The snipe are booming If you were that way inclined you could fire a full box of cartridges off at them alone! Woodcock numbers are healthy this year, and there's plenty of hares about the place too (not that I shoot them but they're nice to see), we flushed 5 of them at TR yesterday! It's just the pheasants that are missing

I haven't done any write ups for some time now, and unfortunately it's because there has been nothing to write about! In the 10 years or so that I've been shooting this place, I've never known a season as bad. On all but 1 of the 5 'shoots' so far, we've had persistent horizontal rain, and saturated boggy ground, for very little reward! I can't believe that we're practically in January and we still haven't had a frost. The weather has been far too mild for my liking. Nettles and ferns are still standing tall in some places, and the crops in the last 2 pheasant I've shot have been stuffed full of berries, despite the food bins being brimmed with wheat! Anyhow, here's a couple of snaps from some recent outings... As usual, we are throwing the shoot open in January. Our members are free to roam the grounds whenever they like, with a limit of a brace of pheasant / week (no limit on wild quarry). This is my favourite time of the year. For me, there's nothing better than going out for an 'armed ramble' with the dog - Rolo to flush em, me to shoot em (hopefully), and Rolo to retrieve em

More fantastic write ups! Well done to Amy on her first driven day, sounds like she had a belter. Hope you both had a great Christmas. Will no doubt see you sometime soon, Todd.

Sounds like a top day mate 👍🏻

Such a shame, 3 significant floods in only 10 years across the area now. I followed it through the night on FB and have heard of some exceptional acts of kindness to those who have suffered!
