Quite a lot of tools etc. Fits in a car based van. Security? Reasonable. I have secure overnight parking.

LOL Or just go and buy an extended hose! For the supply you can buy them 2m long. For the waste they do a kit that will give you a joining piece to connect the existing flexi hose to aanother peice of flexi that will go to where the old one did. 500mm is inconsequential. Do try and run it as high under the sink top as you can though to prevent back syphoning.

I cannot believe this is still going! People. out friend Stoogey is a fantasist. If he was as good as his stories, he would be a world class shooter in whatever discipline he fancied. Aim points that are "off the scope", really? Does anybody actually believe that's possible? Go to the bottom of the reticle and then " lift a bit, lift a bit, that'll do!"! **** off! It's BS simple as that. Don't care how much experience our Walt claims to have, or what he claims he can or can't do, it's BS. We have had the 40 yard challenge, and as was proved, that's definitely possible by a competent shot. But any experienced shooter knows there are limits. I have shot a rabbit cleanly at 62 measured yards, but it was in perfect conditions. A slight breeze or misformed pellet could have made a difference, added to which I misjudged the range and got a bit lucky! That's the crux of it. No matter how good you or your gun is...external conditions will rarely allow you solid consistency and as such a responsible shot shouldn't take the shot. My personal max is 50 yards in good conditions, much less in wind, the 62 yarder was in mist which is why I misjudged it. Anything else is willy waving at best and a complete lack of respect for your quarry at worst.

Comic genius, unintentional obviously, but genius!

Right, no, that's it! WALT!!!!

200 yard accurate and the aim point is 'about there'. Properly got me laughing that one has . I might be wrong with Walt actually, maybe it's a troll.
-
Basically he's saying he's on a 2mm target at 50 m and lethal to 84 on live targets...not including knocking woodpigeon of telephone/power cables at the other end of the field. I assume the field to be 100m+ obviously. Walt.

This is the truth of it. I shoot with a £600 gun, not because it's 'better' in every way, but because I like its build quality, accuracy and feel. I have also shot rabbits with a £200 gun. Both do the job but I enjoy using the more expensive one. It's an AirArms S510. I've had several AirArms rifles as well as most other makes and I keep coming back to them. By the time you add a decent scope and maybe a bipod you'll be close to your budget anyway.

I could still wipe a lead joint if it was still allowable. Times have moved on though. As for the plastic ppes, they're great! ...but not so good when on show. Then you need a rigid pipe and that's where copper comes back in to vogue. I wonder how long it will be before we are talking about those 'old boys who used to pull all sorts of shapes and angles in copper pipes with a hand bender. That's a dying art that is'! Mind you, looking at our current apprentices, most of them would struggle to pull their finger out of their ***** let alone pull a square bend!

The VW caddy looks very nice but alas, is out of my budget, not old enough yet. I have about 4k to play with. Anybody tried getting an L200/Hilux/Navara diesel chipped? How much difference did it make, particularly to economy?
-
Right, I managed to decipher the rest, but you're going to have to explain what the heck 'thread imature' is? Oh yeah, and 45 yards max as a general rule.
-
Interesting, didn't know they even made one! Same problem as the X-trail though, the load space is probably inadequate.

ARRRRGGGHHH!!!! It's driving me mad!!! I need a works vehicle, ie small van. I need a shooting vehicle, ie 4wd. I need something I can chuck the dogs/kids in occasionally. I do NOT need to be forever unloading one load of gear to get another load in!!! I'd like a reasonably sane MPG and reliability. And I'm fairly certain that all of the above is a pretty unreasonable ask! But, can anyone think of a vehicle that will cover most of the above considerations if not all? I think a crew cab L200 or similar is probably a decent compromise, but is it possible to ease the MPG above 30 with a diesel chip and a couple of choice mods? I had decided on a Nissan X-trail, but think I'm going to end up taking the work gear out to get the dogs in as I suspect I'd end up folding the seats down to get gear in. Suggestions on a postcard, or maybe better on here. Can someone preserve my sanity wih an inspired suggestion?

Now where would the fun be in that?

Nope, not going to seek. You've made the claim, it's up to you to back it up, otherwise it's just more BS.

How many corvids are killed by PW members in 2013

A miserly 4 last sunday over a couple of hours, all helps though. 1467 -
Sad but true! I did a bit of leadwork at college 20 years ago, but have never professionaly done any since. It is now the preserve of roofers.

Best advice regarding shooting them with an air gun ^^^^^^^^. Try and conceal yourself a bit, make sure you are downwind and keep quiet and still. They will appear, don't rush at trying to shoot them immediately, let a few come out and start feeding, that way you will probably get 2 or maybe 3 before they start to scarper. When they do, leave the shot rabbits where they are, I've never seen a dead rabbit deter the others from coming out and they'll be back faster if you don't start clomping about. Obviously if you wound one you'll have to break cover if you can't put a killing shot into it.

Reading the post you comment on does tend to help. As I said, IN ORDER TO KEEP PRICES SENSIBLE and avoid paying out more wages, they expect you to pick up your own shells. They are quite happy for you to use a S/A so gun snobbery doesn't come into it, I've used my Camo Hatsan there without issue. As you say, prices are on the increase still, so why force the issue and increase your shoots cost? As for taking your cusom elsewhere, maybe they'd be thankful that you did if you leave the stands in a **** state?

Good vid, thanks.

Fantastic, now if you could just elaborate, particularly on point 3, that really would become quite helpful. Thanks ever so.

Right! In an attempt to get an answer or two, I'm starting a whole new thread regarding the Primo Crow/Power caller to ask... 1/ Do they really work? 2/ Are they supposed to sound like a duck with a sore throat? and 3/ Is there a trick to blowing them to make them sound more realisic?

Be very careful sending your dog for crows, if you've winged one, their first instinct is to attack the eyes and that beak is very effective! It will make a nasty mess of a dogs eye with no difficulty. Glad you are finding success on the crows.
