9.30 am you'll probably find them already out and about. Just read all the tips about being polite, smart, conversational etc. If it was me, I'd decline to shoot until permissions were in place in writing. That said, take some permission slips, copies of SGC and insurance, you never know! Expect to get knocked back, it happens pretty much every time. Just be polite, and leave your number in case circumstances change.

Absolutely, still a steal.

Did exactly that last week, second part of a sim pair was a looper, shot the teal, came back for the now dropping looper, fired and missed only for the clay to disintegrate at least a full second later as the plastic wad hit it!

Added to the above, it's not unheard of for one part to go which in turn affects another part, ie the fan seizes which causes an electrical overload and pops the printed circuit board. You turn up and it's got a blown PCB, until you replace that you won't get power to the fan to discover it has seized etc etc.

That's a 232 bar bottle mate with A-clamp fitting. A 300 bar bottle would have a DIN screw in fitting.

This is why you are well advised to try and get a recommended engineer, or at least try and establish an engineers experience. Thing is, boiler engineers are qualified, but not necessarily exerienced. You get inexperienced operatives in all trades, it's just that an inexperienced chippy is unlikely to risk your life , so why do the general public assume that GasSafe registration means that they are experienced/ it means they are registered and have shown basic competency, nothing more. After 20 years in the gas game, I can fix pretty much everything I see, but sure as hell couldn't at 20 years old, and conversely, the new guys coming through struggle to diagnose problems on a 20 year old system. Such is life. Get a recommended, experienced engineer.
-
Rubbish! First, there is no thing as a Gas Safe plumber, if they are gas safe, they are gas engineers. Second, if they are gas safe they have to demonstrate competence in their required fields, if that is central heating they will have to demonstrate a BASIC knowledge. If you told them your boiler was beyond repair, they are quite able to disagree and propose a repair, it's your choice whether to take them up on it. What is your problem with Gas Safe engineers. I've only read a couple of pages of this thread but already you've had 3 pops at Gas Safe engineers?

Lorenzo for the championship, Pedrosa will challenge early but ...he will also have Rossi, Marquez and Crutchlow to worry about and I reckon Pedrosa will blow up at some point. I feel that there will be more than two winners of races this year but Lorenzos consistency was awesome last year and if he carries that on it will be a squabble for the runner up position.

It's a 12 year old Vitara, dunno if they had the smaller necked filler then?

Lambs being killed by crows, help required!
-Mongrel- replied to Gibbybox's topic in General Shooting Matters
Well somethings eating his lambs, so he's got crows coming in whichever way you look at it. At the moment the crows on my perm all roost together, I understood that they split up to breed. -

To be honest all you can hope to do now is keep the blighters on the move until the lambs are on their feet, they are then much safer. They get clobbered literally as born while still wet. We had one where the evil ******** had taken the back end out of it, it was still alive when found! Poor little sod! -
Not the innocent badgers fault though is it? You may well be right, but collies aren't on the dangerous dogs register are they. That is the crux of this situation. It doesn't matter whether you think they are misjudged, the long and short of it is the law is what it is. Fair/unfair, doesn't matter. Illegal, possibly.
-
A litter of innocent but potentially illegal crossbreeds. Your judgement's clouded mate. I do understand and to a degree sympathise with the 'It isn't the dog, it's the owner' line of thought, but what's to stop one of these pups ending up in the wrong hands? You could make the same argument about all the innocent badgers that will be culled, after all, they haven't done anything wrong have they?
-
LOL, that much I know, was looking to find out what other damage it can cause...which the rest of your post addresses, thanks.
-
Report it, let the authorities decide if it's illegal or not/dangerous breed or not.
-
No! Not me! Looking at a 1.6 engined Suzuki that has allegedly been filled with diesel and run. So, what's the likely damage? Obviously drop and drain the tank, new fuel filter....?
-
Just one question about an otherwise excellent looking seat....why does it NEED to spin, would you not slide on it enough to shoot? Not a critiscism in any way, I am curious as to why you felt it necessary as I have a drum that I was going to put a fixed seat on?

Similar with us, up until yesterday 5 lost and that's withe sevral of us decoying like loons for the last couple or 3 weeks, it will be a continued attack throughout the year and ladder traps early next year! Anything to reduce the numbers to be honest. Just as a bonus, they've had a couple of ravens turn up too, their method of attack appears to be to tear the throat open!!! -
Realistically, 40 yards. Most regular hunters will have killed at greater distances, but only taken the shot on after considering the conditions and shot carefully on an individual basis. Day to day 40 would be as much as I regularly take on.

And there in lies the truth for many of us. It's not that UKIP's policies stand out as particularly great, but they are different from the established ******** trotted out by the established self servers. It may be a 'wasted' vote this time round, and labour may get back in as a result, but they won't be that much worse than the shambles we already have. However, another 4 years down the line, they could just get in once people realise just how much support that actually do have...would give Farage and co time to iron out the holes in their policies too!
-
Right! So, just run it by me again. Is barley the best or are beans better still and does that make peas better or worse than barley?
-
Indeed there is, but I have noticed that the trend at the moment (judging from posts on here) seems to be favouring the .177 at the moment. I prefer it due to it's flatter trajectory meaning you don't have to be quite so accurate on your range judgement as 2 or 3 metres either way won't make much difference to the POI. I've never had any issues with lethality and at the end of the day, if the smaller pellet does over penetrate, the rabbits still just as dead. On balance, I'll always opt for .177 now, with rifles being as accurate as they are, spot on pellet placement is the name of the game.

The only comfort I can find in your decision not to name the sleaze ball...is that at least I know he's in Yorkshire not Sussex! It is a worry, but yu have to trust that your farmer will do the decent thing.
-
LOL, that makes me feel a bit better about my kill ratio today, although, to be fair, I was taking on birds I wouldn't normally due to the lack of action.

Unless you are keen to knock a few crows back as well? So long as it's not going to compromise the bag then I'm happy to stick a few around the pattern. ern.
