  3. why should the tax payer have to stump up the cost of building sites for these so called travellers, had them knocking on my door offering to tarmack my drive for cash only, take it they dont like to pay tax like the rest of us.I ask myself whats the big advantage to living in this country rather then there country of origin, is it are benefit system, i as brought up to believe you get out of this life what you put in, dont now
  4. you can only get better, i am my own worst enemy because i like to shoot different guns, been using a bettinsoli i picked up as a second gun to be honest have been shooting better with it then more expensive guns. The guy who runs the shoot we go to every week keeps telling me to stick to one gun only so goin to stick with the maxus, by the way give the extended choke a try, i did it felt really well balanced, looks a tad odd tho, cheers gem

  8. They have been known to fly low over are house, fingers crossed
  9. hi mate no it didnt break the window but judging by the bang it made was quite surprised, going to keep the blinds pulled over see if it helps
  10. I was woken up this morning by a loud bang from down stairs, a pigeon had flown into the window this is the second time this week, the first bird was some kind of bird of prey it flopped about a bit then recovered took off to the trees at the bottom of the garden, about ten minutes later flew off. the pidgeon not so lucky its in the bin, any one had this happen to them, more concerned about the window dont fancy forking out about 300 quid for a new unit, been lucky this time, not so for the pidgeon :
  11. Hi mate yoy need a rachet and extention bar not to sure about the socket size should be 12 or 13 mil, it should be a washer and nut holding the stock on its not rocket science, just beware to not over tighten it when you replace it good luck
  12. hi the reason they tend to miss fire now and again is the rebound springs for the pins are to strong and as the main springs weaken over time they cant compensate easy fix is to have the springs changed for weaker ones, i did and its fine now

  15. remember to keep your pick up tool in your pocket mate
  16. hi first gun i bought was a rizziny paid 100 quid had it six months, sold it for 150 the guy was made up. yes i like to shoot different guns its all part of the fun i have a remington pump i use on clays, it does get some strange looks, and no i dont carry a chip had more fun using the bet then other much more expensive guns i have owned
  17. I picked up a second hand bettinsoli diamond line over under as a second gun, i have a browning maxus hunter so just want a change now and again, paid 450 for it from a guy in mold, used it a couple of times and it was miss firing on the top barrel took it to a gun smith at sealand shooting school he reckons its a common fault with them, any way 60 quid lighter, used it last week and shot like a dream didnt miss much which is a bonus, so any one wanting a cheap starter gun they fit the bill very well you can pick them up new for a good price i have bought new brownings, berettas, wincesters, they dont shoot any better happy days
  18. i bought mine in april this year from AB guns stockport paid 1050 brand new
  19. goes back to the old saying if it aint broke dont fix it, i picked up a webley and scott 812 the guy could not get it to eject, after a bit of messing about, found out the metal piston ring was missing replaced it with a o ring, worked a treat, sold it to a mate and it still works when i sripped it right down they are well made
  20. fine, who picks up the tab, suppose it would keep test examiners in work
