  1. i shoot a maxus grade 2 for clays use 24 gram steel the recoil is nothing, shoot it all day no problem, they come with stock shims and but spacers.
  2. the maxus are very soft to shoot they come in around the 6lb so are very good on the shoulder,i have a neck problem so its ideal for me,i bought a comfort a few years back but could not take to it, sold it to a mate he loves it had many semis over the years the boss has told me make this one last lol
  3. I had a sx3 wincester, the good guns even they are made in portugal now but still a good bit of kit
  4. i see were your comimg from mud sticks,some people love them some hate them, just on my second browning maxus as the first one had to go back so hopefully should last me, maybe i was being to enthusiastic.
  5. shooting friend of mine bought a second hand hatsan, must admit have always only had negative veiws about them i bought a twenty bore a few years ago, first time out it siezed up and bits fell off, needless to say it went back. had a shot and to be fair i was impressed it came up ok for me and shot well hatsan have got there act together if i ever needed a cheap and cheerfull semi would give one a go

Picked up my brand new replacement maxus today, everythings fine really nice gun in fact the woods better then the old one,i asked the dealer if i could get any redress for the thirty quid i spent on petrol bearing in mind its a ninty five mile round trip which i have done twice he said take it up with browning but cant see you getting anything, a couple boxes of cartriges would of done me think it will be the last time i buy a gun from him
  7. i had an issue with my maxus a spring broke in the fore end and damaged the reciever, browning have replaced it. they are all a lottery my local gunsmith reckons he gets lots of berettas in for all sorts of problems you just have to be lucky
  8. had a call from ab guns today they said a brand new gun arrived today so hats off to browning and ab guns.
  9. sounds like the p... i spoke to last week at browning,asked how long to get an answer on how long to replace my maxus broken spring had damaged the reciever he said i dont speak to the public you need to go through your dealer, there customer care needs improving
  10. hope you dont have the problems i have with my maxus hunter, the spring in the fore end broke and damaged the reciever. sent back to browning, still waiting as there all at the game fair, not impressed

  13. the piston spring seems fine its the flat spring that sits in the fore end that holds the barrel on if i had done my home work would have stuck with beretta its dented my confidence. like the look but not the bad reports,

  15. hi i bought this brand new in april but cant be sure when it was manufactured, took it back today and they are sending it back to browning.
  16. to all you browning maxus owners, used my maxus today on clays and a small piece of metal had broken off what looks like the spring that sits in the fore end and has damaged the piston sleeve, the front of the action, could this be a design fault or just bad luck needless to say a bit ....ed off its a ninety mile round trip to take it back to ab guns in stockport.wondering whats my legal rights, are, bought it brand new in april this year has this happend to any one else

  19. hi have a look on gun trader give you an idea what to ask for it sounds like a field model depending on condition could be from 275 to 450, guns are selling slowly these days i had a sx3 up for sale took me two months to sell it any way good luck
  20. been offered a miruko 7000 field multi choke, 30 inch barrels off a dealer he says its mint in the box with chokes and key.wants around 700 for it going to see it tomorow night any feed back from members gratefully recieved
  21. no not really i wanted a o/u to use on clays i like a high comb,i mounted it in the shop it came up well for me
  22. hi was self employed up to july last year i received sick pay, had a op on my hand off for a month, 16,000 sounds about right to me, you have to have a interview on the phone they ask you your circumstances it takes about 50 minutes.
  23. looking at a winchester 6500 trap gun at my local dealer, its in nice condition with a plain polished action, fixed chokes they seem to be tight prob, full and full. the price would be 599 00, done a bit of research and parts are hard to get so puts me off a bit i would be interested in any feed back
  24. go for it i have remington express its great fun,shoot quite well with it on clays some people are impressed with how well they shoot,frankly dont give a stuff what people think,done a23 on skeet last month so yes give it a go
  25. hi a mate of mine had a 1400 found it very fussy with any thing under 32 gram. had two 1100 they are good guns tad heavy to lug about but are prone to parts breaking, the link broke on mine cost 24 quid, just a piece of stamped metal ejecters are prone to. i have a sx3 for sale in mint condition 625.00 cant go wrong with some thing like these last you life time
