  1. I started out with a Smith and Wesson pump action. I found it hard going. I have only ever seen John Stafford - DTL expert - use on properly, when he was a mere lad. Autos are a different planet.
  2. Jonno - I honestly can't recall a better boxer from these shores. Ken Buchanan - I assume your are having a laugh. Got easily beaten when he moved up in class and made an embarassing comeback. Alan Minter, Nigel Benn were a class above Buchanan.
  3. "Who's post is this a response to Gordon? Can't see where the FEO is going against a medical opinion, because he's not taking the application and has given back the accompanying photo's.... before he has had a medical opinion on the applicants present condition". "Again, for the record, the FEO requested and recieved the medical report BEFORE he arranged the home visit". I rest my case.
  4. The FEO is only doing his job. If someone has depression and getting treatment, the chances of a licence are remote. Which FEO would recommend a licence - none I suspect. He cannot go against a medical opinion.
  5. Donaldsons is a grade three and looks a very decent gun. That seems a better proposition. Browning grades of gun are sometimes underneath the action. I have had two B325's and they both were marked underneath. I can't understand why a Gunshop would not advise on grade. I would assume a grade one in the absence of information.
  6. Shooting Eleys this month and next as I got some fairly cheap. Will probably go back to Victory Sporters as Graham (GDUK of Gundeals sells them) - cheap :- http://www.gundeals.co.uk/SHOTGUNS-and-ACC...t_id,categories Victory Sporter Cartridges 12g 28g x 1000 Start Bid : 114.00 GBP Current Bid : - Ends : 04 Dec. 2007 09:10:01
  7. I totally agree with Andy on this one.
  8. If it is choked full, it is not a sporter.
  9. Get a Miroku - better gun by far and better value for money.
  10. I have two Akitas who do not like fireworks. Dog is not keen, but bitch absolutely hates them.

  12. The Dollars trilogy broke new ground. Fast guns, extreme violence, nasty, really nasty villains, humour, excellent music - shame about the awful dubbing. Still brilliant.
  13. This is a thriving forum. If you want to see a forum in terminal decline, have a look at Shooting Talk. Dead in the water.
  14. When Amir (Speedy -I'm driving a BMW at 140mph? and knock the odd pedestrian down - Gonzales) Khan is fit to lace Joe Calzhage's boots, I will plait sawdust. Top result from Joe - nice bloke and the best in a hard game. Khan should follow his example - if he can.
  15. I think they are about £60, but I'm on a freebie.
  16. Agreed about those three. Gian Maria Volonte played the baddie in both the first and second. Preferred Lee Van Cleef as Col. Douglas Mortimer in "For a few dollars more" than as Angel Eyes in "The Good, the bad and the ugly".
  17. Pale Rider was very good, but a clear rip-off of Shane.
  18. "For a few dollars more" was my favourite, but "Unforgiven" was a close second. The Dollars trilogy had class musical scores as well. Clint made the genre popular again and paved the way for "Once upon a time in the West". Some favourite scenes:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=b2l4IKz3m7c http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=awskKWzjlhk&...ted&search= http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5SO5VO2ixWY http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YykfDFEk3y8 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MEZWaGf9NYw http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2ldZxQ3Md70 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gi0If8tH_Ls
  19. If the DNA rumours are false, we are no further forward. If they are true, the McCanns are in real bother.
  20. Graham - tidy job. I am having one of these made:- http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s311/Go...current=353.jpg http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s311/Go..._hardware_1.jpg
  21. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Got a couple of shotguns with adjustable stocks. A mate's son is an engineer and is copying the mechanism from my Miroku, to duplicate for my GTi. Making it out of aircraft alloy and stainless steel. He said the Miroku mechanism was crude, so I am hoping for a decent job. Any tips for cutting the comb - apart from be careful - and cutting out the rebate for the mechanism out of the stock?
  22. Jay Ward - top lad who would not intentionally offend.
  23. Swillington are well worth a visit. Over the Pennines - Bamfords at Eccleston and Tim McAvoy at Standish are worth visiting. Bates at Stafford are okay, but best in my book would be Jim Neville at Alfreton, Derbyshire - a mere stone's throw from Leeds, down the M1. Lot of guns - good prices and quality second hand guns. Nice people to deal with.
  24. "People who are ignorant who claim the the BNP are actually the NF must have been brainwashed by the gutter press. Nick Griffin has stated on many ocassions that the BNP work with Hindu's and Sihks, so to call the BNP a racist political party is way off the mark. You read what you like, everyone knows that the labour and tory parties are starting to worry about the BNP picking up support". You are 'avin a larf. Way off the mark?
