Just stripped and cleaned mine with gt85 (eBay or halfords if you have. Trade card) not used it for the gun but it leaves a better film then wd40 IMO

seen those mounts from china on ebay for about £8?

bottle is easier, dry air also. if you have somewhere local to fill thats not an issue either, i pay £3-4 to fill my bottle

Yh I believe there silvered in after a little research. Pretty sure its the crimp and old metal follower, never knew about those inserts, I'll have a look thanks!

The mag tube seems fixed to the body and the crimp stops it coming out the other way.... Hmmmm

is there anyway to remove the follower from the mag tube on a 3 shot 870...? mine keeps jamming on the crimp... i say keeps, its happened twice, once when i tried to put 3 in the tube by mistake and then probably did the same thing again yesturday and it jammed again. its 79' gun i think and i think the follower is probably a bit worn, any ideas? failing that maybe making a spring guide enough to act as a stop for the follower?

Took out my wingmaster with new Knox recoil reducing stock yest and it feels different! The mount is not differant, I have to push the gun out further so it doesn't catch on my shoulder and it feels longer, alot longer! The lop is now good and it lines my eye up with the rib being nice and flat now. But think I need to chop the barrel as it feels gangly!! But I'd loose my 3/8ths choke.....

:( Fair one! Good price, should shift easy. If you like the 1100 fit isn't an 870 very similar in fit and poi ect? Would be a smooth transition back to pumps in the future if you felt the pull!

No. It's an abrasive so not what you want in the action unless you could happerly get it all off?

How are you guys finding open choke? I'm thinking of 24in my 870 but will loose my 3/8th choke....

Surely if you found your dream gun but it didn't fit, you could have it fitted? Is Ian hodges (I think that's right) any good? He's nearer you then helston gunsmiths. Not sure helston really hold that kinda gun anyway?

i've been away on basic training for 10 weeks, my farm i have permission on is all overgrown but bit moving about, would be hard to spot though... long story but the farmer was banned from owning cattle so is now letting it all grow for what i dont know. one observation my dad made was much fewer maggies by us but lots more Jays got 6 months up Gosport then ^months and the rest of my career at Culdrose i hope so will have to hook up i went for the knox block ops jobbie with the recoil reducing bit. havnt fired it yet just test fitted and like it! will post up some pics

is that last one .22? will add some pics soon of my new stock, being adjustable is nice and i can see the difference in eye line as i adjust it, when its short i can see alor of the rib, as i make it longer i see less and less IE ideal... will take some testing to find whats right for me but i love it!

Interesting FNP90 stock!
