  2. Hollins green derbyshire hft open 30th september 2012. Hollins green hft club are pleased to announce that we will be holding our first open on the 30th september 2012. The course will be layed out in our woods and will be set to the current U.K.A.H.F.T rules and regulations. Nigel who does the catering for the north west shoots and various nationals will be setting up his catering unit to supply you with food and drinks and there will be toilet facillities on site. We aim to have one session stating at 10.30 with 90 shooters if you intend to come and shoot please add your name below. The shoot will start at 10:30 after a safety briefing. There will be a zero range set up next to the wood for you to get your gear sorted. We have a few local rules that you must follow when on the land. 1. Please keep your speed down when coming down the drive to the farm. 2. ABSOLOUTLEY NO DOGS ( SORRY LANDOWNERS REQUEST) we are located on a chicken farm that has around 25,000 free range chickens hence the reason for no dogs. The farm is situated to the south of chesterfield around 20 minuets of the M1. The shoot location is: Stretton hall farm Newmarket lane clay cross Chesterfield Derbyshire S45 9AP. Please feel free to add your name and ask any quetions relating to the shoot.

  5. Shotgun or Rim Fire not legal with an Air Rifle as I was told the other day by some one that is very aware of the law
  6. I was told if your target is up in a tree and your 15 yards from the base of the tree that is your aim point and its always worked so if you work out how far from the base of the tree you are that's the aim point you use Matt

Where do you live just asking in case your near by and don't adjust anything with out a chronograph it is to easy to be over power if you have I will tell you how to by PM but first of all if you put the rifle on the table with the stock to the left and the right have you got a silver dot on the action ?

During the service did you have the barrel cleaned if so put plenty of pellets down the barrel I found that the two 400's I have had didn't like clean barrels also is the pellet getting clipped by the mag try hand loading and see if it happens also stick with the AA fields you can't go wrong with them

  11. There is big benefits of been a member of a club besides its some where to unwind and talk to people with the same interests but there is always a wealth of knowledge to help you and you them. Which club are you going to visit ?

Hello Before you go out spending what do you want it for rough shooting ,target shooting or both for your budget look at a second hand TX200 or a HW97 both under leaver's and both well made look for them in .177 the trajectory is much more forgiving if your looking at a bit of target shooting try the Greyhound club you will get some good advice there Greyhound Gunclub Sutton Stop, Longford, Coventry, CV6 6DF
  13. Yes but I mainly shoot steel targets I use a E.B. Sniper 10x42 which is true mil dot
  14. If you can get over to Chesterfield on Sunday you are more than welcome to use the Clubs large chronograph
  15. Just testing some Stella Artois Cidre its not bad but I do love rough Cider but live in the wrong part of the England to get a regular supply
