  6. I was told if your target is up in a tree and your 15 yards from the base of the tree that is your aim point and its always worked so if you work out how far from the base of the tree you are that's the aim point you use Matt

  8. Where do you live just asking in case your near by and don't adjust anything with out a chronograph it is to easy to be over power if you have I will tell you how to by PM but first of all if you put the rifle on the table with the stock to the left and the right have you got a silver dot on the action ?
  9. During the service did you have the barrel cleaned if so put plenty of pellets down the barrel I found that the two 400's I have had didn't like clean barrels also is the pellet getting clipped by the mag try hand loading and see if it happens also stick with the AA fields you can't go wrong with them

Hello Before you go out spending what do you want it for rough shooting ,target shooting or both for your budget look at a second hand TX200 or a HW97 both under leaver's and both well made look for them in .177 the trajectory is much more forgiving if your looking at a bit of target shooting try the Greyhound club you will get some good advice there Greyhound Gunclub Sutton Stop, Longford, Coventry, CV6 6DF

  16. look down the barrel and it could be to one side if so undo the figure of 8 band so it loose and look down the barrel again it could now have sprung back into place if not you should be able to move the barrel easy so it looks like its in the centre of the air cylinder before tightening it back up fire a few shoots at a target to check it if its ok carefully tighten the figure of 8 back up
  17. Don't worry about the anti tamper its easier to remove on the 400 than the 200 to gain access to the Hammer spring tensioner but the venturi screw is the same on both but only do this if you get a second hand one as it voids the warranty on a new one. If you do get a pcp invest in a chronograph so you know what power your rifle is producing

  25. Sorry CB just a bit of guidance the best thing is join a club The Law The law makes no distinction between air rifles and more powerful guns for which you need a licence – they are all classed as firearms. This means that any offence you commit can carry a very heavy penalty. 14 – 17 years You can • Borrow an air rifle and ammunition • Use an air rifle, without supervision, on private premises where you have permission You cannot • Buy or hire an air rifle, or ammunition, or receive one as a gift. Your air rifle and ammunition must be bought and looked after by someone over 18 – normally your parent, guardian or some other responsible adult. • Have an air rifle in a public place unless you are supervised by somebody aged 21 or over, and you have a reasonable excuse to do so (for example, while on the way to a shooting ground). Under 14 years You can • use an air rifle under supervision on private premises with permission from the occupier - normally the owner or tenant. The person who supervises you must be at least 21 years old. You cannot • buy, hire or receive an air rifle or its ammunition as a gift, or shoot, without adult supervision. Parents or guardians who buy an air rifle for use by someone under 14 must exercise control over it at all times. It is illegal to sell an air rifle or ammunition to a person under 18 years of age.
