  1. We finished all the orders before we went off on furlough
  2. I was furloughed for 6 days when work asked me in for a meeting. Went in to be told they were shutting my department as it might not profitable to continue and we were being made redundant. I went back a week later to collect my tools and there is one of the fitting shop lads who wasn’t furloughed in there doing my job . I think in these difficult times it will show the integrity of some employers
  3. Looking forward to the start of the season. Last year was great for getting out and making new friends and having some first class banter and getting a new puppy was a bonus . Anyone interested in beating on this shoot you won’t be disappointed as the hospitality is second to none . See you all soon Kev

  11. Had to say goodbye to my Lab she was my best friend. I remember back as a pup her training with the dummy was spot on . At 15 month old I introduced her to the gun and she was as steady as a rock . She was predominantly a family pet who was good around guns. She was a pleasure to have around . Some of the funny times were when me and a friend were shooting over laid barley and she went for a retrieve and instead of going around the net she went through it ripping if from the ground towing the entire hide and 4 poles across the field . I couldn't tell her off for laughing cuz all she was trying to do was please . On another occasion we were doing walked up pheasant she was great at flushing the hedgerows. A pheasant came out and took flight I dropped it before she got out but she ran full speed for 200 yards not knowing where it had dropped when she realised she was chasing nothing she calmly walked back . She wasn't all bad but they are just the funny ones that I remember I'll miss that dog because she has taken a part of me with her . So raise a glass to the best worst gun dog . Miss you girl
  12. My renewals took 4 months last year Good luck
  13. Go through your own authority and they will ask Gwent to clear it . That was what I was told by my feo when we had some cleared

    Lewis Hamilton

I think he handled it very well . If that had happened to me I would of crossed the line then buried the car in a wall . Now that would be unsportsmanlike But my racing days are over
  16. We feed our lab hills j/d you can buy wet food or dry it's not cheap at £25 for 12 tins but I can vouch for it as my arthritic girl was like a new dog after 3 weeks on it .
  17. We're not far away in Stone . Welcome to the watch
  18. I've never payed the screen price on a new car . Just be cheeky as its your cash not theirs . Once you've settled on a price then ask for the extras such as free sat nav , mats fuel, road tax . The secret is not to let them know how interested you are and say there's another garage locally with all the things you want included . The important thing is be prepared to walk away but leave your phone number in case they want to change their mind . I once got £1200 off a £7k car because I was paying cash with no part ex
  19. I was selling a classic car on classic car mart and had nearly 200 of these type of emails all based in Nigeria . just bin them and don't give them the time of day . It's a shame because someone somewhere must fall for them

    wallabies ?

There is a colony at the Roaches near Buxton . Rumour has it they escaped from a travelling circus in the 60s and have thrived in the heather covered hills ever since . I've seen them myself a few times
  21. If you are using a club gun at the training session just ask if there's a semi auto available
  22. Old school friend of mine got done for whizzing up a phone box a while back . With a police van parked across the street . They did him for indecent exposure . So I think you are getting off lightly . I'd speak to feo before going to pay your fine . What ever happens good luck and learn from your mistake
