  1. Old gold!!!! If these were 16's, I would be all over these 🤣
  2. I recognise this photo mate 🤣 I made contact with RUAG a while ago to see about getting hold of some more Special 16's and it was a no go at that point, the only 16's they could get hold of were Nobel Sport. Last few Special 16's I bought were from Lovell's in Witney a couple of years ago, but 7's and they only had a few boxes. Probably got half a slab left. They did randomly have some VIP 25 gram 8's in 16g though! If it is oddball and 16g, chances are I have some 😉 RC 16's are just as good to be fair and a damn site easier to get hold of round my way in Essex.
  3. Cheers Andy, by modern I meant 1980's onwards but the cases look older if that makes sense
  4. Modern head and stamp on those 2 inch but an old looking paper case.... unusual! Is there a packing code inside the box? I suspect not going by the headstamp. They remind me of the commemorative grand prix paper case that Eley bought out a few year back!
  5. I could have collected last night as stopped in at Bury St Edmunds for fuel! Definitely of interest still but might be a few weeks before I am back up that way....
  6. Some cracking old school carp gear there. Basically my set up from the mid 90's! Still got a couple of ST's in the garage although doubt they have been turned on for 15 years. And as for the baitrunners, they don't make them like that anymore! Good luck with the sale, I would snap that up in a heart beat for old times sake if I didn't have a garage full already 🤣
  7. In normal circumstances, I would be all over this, but having 2 16's that have probably been out of my cabinet 5 times in the last year and a shed full of cartridges (last batch courtesy of none other than @Little Chopper I am going to say 'I am out' 🤣 A great deal for sure and great guy to deal with! For reference, those yellow 16 Grand Prix's are rare as rocking horse and before anyone asks, they are definitely 16's and not 20's!!
  8. Ernest Doe are still a big New Holland and Case dealer in the South East. Are the Eley Kynoch paper or plastic?
  9. Rare as unfortunately! Got a few hundred Rottweil Club 32 bangers down here in Essex
  10. Here here! Just recently bought some rare 16 bore cartridges from @Little Chopper and he is an absolute diamond to deal with. More often than not, lots in the auctions are very mixed lots and too Robin's point, you have to pick out what you want from each lot and decide what to do with the rest. Not about making profit as most of what I have sold I have broken even on at best. Glad you got these sold mate and thanks for the yellow 16 bore Grand Prix/Hymax.
  11. Black or orange cartridges? Green or black box? Might seem like pedantic questions but will give away if these are 90's or 2000's 😉
  12. PM replied to Simon Thanks Jimbo, got a bit of interest but will keep you posted if anything still available
  13. Need to thin out what I have so up for grabs I have the following: 100 Eley Alphamax 32g 3's 50 Eley Alphamax 32g 4's 20 Eley Maximum 30g 3mm (2 boxes of 10) + 60 loose made up of the above and some Grand Prix 4's & 6's and a few other randoms. Edit, 19/11, + 25 Gamebore 26 Steel 4's 255 in total - £70 25 Anglia Cartridge Co RTO 6's (front opening box in excellent condition and very collectible) £25 250 Eley Grand Prix Bismuth 7's (unopened slab) - £125 I am travelling to Loughborugh from Colchester aera tomorrow so can drop off if anyone is quick enough!
  14. Are the 16's still available?
  15. These are definitely from the mid 2000's onwards going by the print on the cartridge. I would say any time between 2006-2012 would be about right Got my fair share of these in the cupboard in various shot sizes along with about 7000 other random 16g cartridges 🙂
  16. A bargain to be had there.... I would be all over this but rarely get down your way unfortunately mate.
  17. Probably made by Raker. Be good to see some pics 😉
  18. FYI, Currently £109 a slab on Just cartridges. A saving in this day in age can only be a good thing! Good luck with the sale mate 👍
  19. Any chance of a pic? Interested and heading up north sunday and back monday
  20. Popular clay load back in the late 80's and early 90's. One of the local clay grounds to me used these for tuition in 20 bore. Just dug a 12 bore one out of the garage in 9 Shot
  21. Shot a few of these at rabbits a few years back one night off the back of mates pickup, got them in a mixed lot of cartridges from a southams sale. You could tell when you shot one of those rather than a grand prix!
  22. Any other older oddball cartridges amongst these other than the Winchester and the odd Alphamax? Rottweil or Eley etc?
  23. Absolutely! Good luck to anyone who would try and get me to part with these though 😉🤣 I have a load of full boxes of 16g Hymax 4's with what appears to be the same case as these and true brass heads, picked up from a Holts sale 12 years ago. Also got a load of Maximum 16's in boxes of 10's loaded for a foreign market from the late 60's/early 70's and even a few loose true 65mm case Trainer 9's in 16g also. Not sure if many of these found their way in to the shops back in the UK to be honest as so hard to find. Obviously I don't have any kind of obsession with 16g Eley Cartridges from the years gone by what so ever 🙃
  24. One of my rarest full boxes of cartridges, 16g Trapshooting picked up from a Southams sale a few years ago. This box has no packing code and looking at the print on the cartridge, these will have been from the late 70's or early 80's. If you know, you know 😉
