  1. As per the other responses i would go for Super H-point pellets, maximun damage and retained energy from the deformation of the head, .22 or .177 will do the job easily enough at the ranges you would require. .177 has a flatter flight path than a .22, i was always led to believe that .177 for feathered, .22 for fur, but i have shot all with a .177 old diana break barrel and its all about shot placement rather than type of rifle etc. You will than need to look at the other choices, either break barrel, gas ram, under leaver, side lever, PCP ( which will involve charging gear etc), scope and the like. ( I do have a compact 4x32 scope up for sale !!!!!) Happy shooting Cookie

  14. I`ve made loads of these type `beverages` from blackcurrant to cranberry to toffee to elderberry,.. They all work well, just pick the best suited fruit to alcohol, last lot i made was elderberry gin and vodka. Same principle as sloe gin, no real recipe just estimate the sugar, fruit and alcohol quantities. Happy days.
  15. Wasted 2 and half hours of my life last night watching the new Transformers movie - Dark of the moon - What a load of total, utter, complete b*****ks. Never watched, well i have really, a more boring, strung out waste of time in all my life. My son wanted to see it so we ventured to the cinema and he came away with same opinion as me. The lead woman in it was so annoying with the put on English accent and more facial surgery than i can think of, couldn`t act to save her life, i wanted to slap her every time she came onto the screen, and that was from the first moment she appeared. I think it was supposed to be humourous aswell but i never laughed once, it was " look at us , we`re American," "we kick ***, we`re American" , "we`re so good at this, that and absolutely everything, `cause we`re American". I`d rather pull my own toenails out than ever watch this film again. Rant over, just had to share that. That was my opinion only, not the views of others and no animals were hurt in the writing of this statement.
  16. Shoot the lot , skin `em, cook `em and have a nice dinner for 2, or Cajun squirrel on the barbeque, couple of bottles of wine and ... well make that up yourself.

    PAYPAL FRAUD

Just a head`s up chaps.. Please check your paypal accounts and the security of said accounts. I had mine emptied yesterday into a US bank account that i knew nothing about. Managed to get it sorted very soon after i spotted the email saying "we are transfering money as requested". Beware and please check your security. Cookie
  18. I was advised the same on my first application that a .17 would not be granted so i went for a .22. Never regreted the decision once. My mate applied for a .17 first off and was granted immediately and that was his first one. Think it`s all changing, will it seems to be in my area, whether its for the better i`m unsure. "Horse`s for courses" as they say, but don't rely on the maximum distance for the kill shot, there is no substitute for fieldcraft and technique.
  19. As Andy says, New Avon Arms, have all sorts, easy to park and find, Veals is right in the centre with hardy any parking and not as easy to get too. Cookie
