Shooting daft for the past 25 years, and no sign of letting up. 2 young girls and a very understanding wife.
  1. The club route is sometimes better. You will meet like minded people, gain a vast array of knowledge that perhaps would have taken you years to gain yourself. Another plus is that you might even be able to gain some shooting permission from one of the club members. Nothing beats honing your skills on ranges and learning the never-ending skill set of 'shootin.
  2. You will need it for them foxes.... I have a spare battery for ya as well.
  3. You will find most places around Darlington are pretty much sown up. Northallerton has some free farms I seem to recall, just a case of going around and asking and keep going around and asking : If all else fails, pay your dues to NPPC and you wont have far to travel either
  4. Some fields in County Durham seem to have a few birds on the rape, however over the border in N.Yorks I have yet to see good numbers. My last three outings have produces very little apart from crow's, they seem to be everywhere at the moment.
  5. Really good video and shows how good shooting should be done. I have picked up a few good tips on shooting leads on the birds
  6. Snow chains, a good pair will last you a good while. or by a proper 4x4

  11. Its a .22 Superten in a "lefty" the other one is a .177 Daystate in "normal" Was looking to upgrade to the R10's when they first came out, but on being loaned one, I found not much difference tbh
  12. Hi, You will find that most farmers will not respond to letters or random telephone calls. ( I don't anyway ) If people come knocking on my door they stand a better chance of 20 mins of my time and then I give them a good grilling. Its like someone ringing you up and saying can I walk around your garden whenever I want. I have three lads who travel a 65 mile round trip to one of my area's. I really hope someone will take you out though
