  1. I have one. They would be fantastic on a short barreled gun that is not an option here. They are certainly not as quiet as a full length moderator (I have a full length one on a Greener GP that is quieter), but how quiet do you need it to be? I can shoot without ear defense using one.
  2. 😆 handy if you're carrying one! Any leatherman will do the job, but the SOG power tool gives mechanical advantage which makes it easier.
  3. There is also a Franchi Spas ! https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/southams-auctioneers-and-valuers/catalogue-id-srso10067/lot-92a0f973-1a5a-4b59-beff-af5400acb1fb
  4. That's correct. They are very well put together.
  5. I can confirm, this stuff works!
  6. Lovely rifle. Are there any markings indicating who made it?
  7. If you need warmth then the Irish Setters are amazing. All the best bookmakers have been named and are all great.
  8. I used to shoot with a gentleman who used one of these. They are very well put together indeed.
  9. Has anyone got one of these and if so what are they like?
  10. I watched a 32" Browning B25 B1 (the one with the plane black action) go though auction at £800 a few weeks ago. I would have bought it had I been able to inspect it. The wood was very plane but I couldn't help thinking what an amazing clay gun it would make - especially since my next clay gun will likely be a 32" MK38 at much more money.
  11. I thought that was a high estimate for a rifle that looks refinished. I could be wrong of course, it would be an extraordinary survivor in that condition.
  12. Well I think we can all agree with him!
  13. That looks fantastic. I would love a lee speed for a classic hunting rifle. It wouldn't be much use for the competitions I want to shoot though. I think the refurbished ones are around a £1000.
  14. I shall certainly take my children to see, thank you.
  15. A timely thread as I also have a slot for .303 having really enjoyed shooting one at Bisley last summer. I like the SMLE too but the No4 seems to be more viable for competition with better sights. I have toyed with rolling the dice on one from auction and then taking it to Fultons for a rebuild. They can rebarrel them with a decent barrel if its worn.
  16. What a quality scope - thank you Falco!
  17. I had a look at the Pulsar range at the Shooting Show. The Thermion XM30 looked excellent.
  18. Great to get your old gun back, but crikey that is tough to look at! What was that person thinking!? What barrels and rib does it have?
  19. Another vote for the MSA Sordin. I like the fact that you can send them back for service. They don't expect you to chuck them and buy a new set.
  20. The Theoben Eliminators are so cheap I would be very tempted by one of those instead. Made to a much higher quality.
  21. I had a look at the Blaser sticks at the shooting show yesterday. They do look the way forward. The ability to track left and right slightly without moving the sticks was impressive.
  22. I've had a three leg Primos. One of the legs got stuck and I ended up taking it off. The other two don't work well. Seems like a good idea but cheaply made.
