    Boris

I don’t normally do politics but I voted for Boris and have been disappointed with his performance as prime minister. I don’t see a lot of choices from the current MPs as a replacement other than Tobias Ellwood , I base that on how that man reacted when the lone terrorist attacked the Houses of Parliament and murdered PC Keith Palmer GM at the gates. Tobias Ellwood ran towards the trouble and rendered first aid to a dying man while other MPs fled and hid together with a senior Police Officer who locked himself in he’s car. He is a military man knows how to lead but above all he has courage and good principles, but that’s my opinion.
  11. I cannot recommend the following people enough their slips are very, very good quality and customer care brilliant. they are not cheap but they are there at the end of a phone. https://www.gunslips.co.uk/about.html
  12. For a camo net bag I use an ex army sleeping bag compression bag, it teases the net down to less than half its size.
  13. We bought one of the following about 2 years ago when it was a little cheaper, they are made by Stellar heavy and have given great service as they are a little deeper than most frying pans splashes are reduced. https://www.hartsofstur.com/james-martin-non-stick-20cm-frying-pan-jm16ns.html
  14. I am also with Green Flag not had an occassion to use them yet, but was with the RAC for 22 years and when needed last year nobody came, I received phone calls informing me that I have to wait another 50 minutes but nobody came. I live in Norfolk when driving to London during the summer this year I passed a biker on a Harley who had broken down, he said he was OK and waiting for the RAC, on our return some 7 hours later he was still there with an RAC guy working on his bike. The RAC in my opinion has lost its way .
  15. Likewise I have used the 01 ambassadeurs for years and some left hand wind shimano's, Dave Lumb has an interesting theory in an article Left is right here is a link to it if its of interest. http://www.amb01.com/01lr.html MM
  16. Ridgeline Ballastic fleece hoody are thick and comfortable to wear with thumb holes in the cuffs, also the ESP camo fleece is popular with the carp anglers I also use a snugpak proximity isnt a true fleece but its warm and windproof and worth a look if you can find one.
  17. Here is a pic, of the hook package hope it helps.
  18. I use Fox wacky worm hooks 3/0, not cheap but good quality strong & razor sharp, also testing Cox & Rawle crab hooks these are not circle but also hook nicely mostly in the scissors.
  19. Ruff and Tumble Classic Dog Drying Coat XL bottle green colour. This coat is unused still with tags and in the original zipped bag RRP is about £48 it is hard to get in this size and will fit larger/taller labs in 29-40 kilos weight, setters, pointers, golden retrievers German shepherds. It will fit dogs that measure 64-72cm along their backs from their shoulder blades to start of tail.
  20. Yes I also have been using 3/0 circle hooks for some time for pike.
  21. That looked a great day out with some very interesting fish, well done.
  22. The following is an extract from the Pike Anglers Club Of GB Origins of modern Piking I suppose the other common sight in 1950s piking was that of the pike bung, with a bait fishing two or three feet below it. And, of course, one to three pilot floats on the line above the bung. Seems quaint now! The chain of pilot floats was a left over from the days when lines sank very quickly, i.e. the pilot floats were used to prevent sinking line close to the bung from fouling the bait. With the advent of nylon monofil, pilot floats disappeared - except that they made superb pike floats. I'm very pleased to see that Marvic still do them! http://www.pikeanglersclub.co.uk/articles/origins.html Hope this is of use. MM
