  1. Thank you for your replies I have been looking at proof marks all day and have gone a bit brain numb, popped out to see my local gunshop this afternoon to try and make some sense of it all, my remington is prooded for all 70mm standard cartridges non magnum no steel. Scully I cannot post pictures my laptop just will not do it, it has stopped talking to the printer recently so we cannot print off it. I have kept off the side by side club as I cannot post phots, if you send me your email address I will send you some pictures. There are no other proof marks it was proofed in London in 2016 to a standard level, I have not really looked at the proof marks until today it would appear that the line of marks show bore diameter, chamber length in mm, nitro proof stamp, 12 in a dimond , the CIP N and one barrel has the LP/16. Thanks again Tim
  2. Its a remington 12 bore 3200
  3. Hi, Many thanks for that as there are no pressure proof marks how would I know what load I can safely use in this gun. Thanks again for your Tim
  4. Good day all, Can anyone please explain a proof mark on a shotgun CIP N what does this means and would I be right in thinking that another mark of LP over 16 is London proof 2016. Many thanks Tim
  5. 2 ladies (and not the fat ones) I worked with retired together and set up a food wagon selling the rolls and the normal fast food burgers together with a limited amount of hot meals each day, these ranged from pie or sausage and mash and pasta dishes mainly lasagne, served up in a plastic tray similar to airline food containers. Their idea was based on quality of products and the business took off it was hard work for them but they enjoyed it and reaped the rewards. Good luck with your venture
  6. This is not right and is something that can affect most on this forum, I have written to the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner and voiced my disgust at the lack of assistance by the West Yorkshire Police.
  7. Mel this the one I posted is this the one. Tim https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=31&v=Qncg9PrOGLU&feature=emb_title
  8. Make you right on that Figgy I was thinking is there a difference with the pattern
  9. I would recommend a Blaser F3 based on my personel experience of owning and shooting one. I purchased my F3 in 2009 it fits me very well, the gun has passed 20,000 shells with 3 light strikes. Blasers appear to be a bit of a marmite gun I have heard a lot of negetive comments about them. However, mine has been superb and I love using it, the gun is far more capable than I am. Enjoy your selecting and shooting. Tim
  10. I use spectrum chokes in my blaser and have no issues but I dont find they have any advantage over flush fitting chokes.
  11. Another suggestion for you I bought my daughter a 20bore Franchi Veloce as her first gun it weighs in at 5lbs 7oz shooting 19gram loads she found it very comfortable, unfortunatly you dont see to many of them for sale in the UK. Good luck with the searching.
  12. Hi all and thank you for your replies, I spoke to barbour they recommended nikwax barbour. However, I have used that in the past and it failed to work, the jacket in question is a crossfell style and mainly used for walking the dogs and clays. Mudpattern, thank you for your reply I think you are right with your assumption, the jacket is leaking on the shoulder and on the inside of the left arm. The leak may have been caused where I carried a shoulder bag. Thanks again for taking the time to reply and happy New Year to everyone. Tim MM
  13. Morning all, My Barbour crossfell jacket has started to leak is it worth re proofing ( ie is there a wash-in type product works ). If so what product would you recommend for a technical jacket, this jacket is not a wax jacket. Many thanks MM
  14. Hi is this gun still for sale.

    Many thanks

  17. I found this and interesting listen today.
  18. Hello Scully, I am truly not sure it was a while ago now and at that time there was no mention of obsolete calibres however it was all under the banner of firearms amendment act 1997. Tim
  19. 2 for me worst regret was selling a cased Boswell sidelock ejector live pigeon gun, the second a Colt M1911 self loading pistol in .455 Webley auto when the government no longer trusted us to own handguns, however long after it transpired that the calibre was obsolete and I could have kept it. Tim
  20. I used a Heym for a number of years with no problems, I no longer shoot a rifle but if I went back to it I would buy another Heym.
  21. Thanks for the replies had a good look on youtube found some answers. Thanks again Tim
