Nice 1 Dai went after a killer last night as i was heading down to bottom fields some T where lamping off main road. Got to where i thought fox might be spotted him over a double fence but would not come to call it followed fence line and lost sight of him sure them with lamp had spooked him

Mike its been that long since iv'e been shooting up there,last time a slope had been planted with larch trees now ready to cut down .

Had a message off my Nephew that my cousin had just told him in pub that fox killing,message Terry. Anyway got rifle out etc drove to pick up my nephew up to Cousins asked which field he had lost lambs.Not shot here for blinking years. Set off down rd to gateway parked up .told Barry to sit in truck as he'd just had bowel cancer removed, and i'll pop over gate and call. Walked out about 70y up hill to put caller out. Back to hedge caller on mouse 5 mins fox coming in over the hill stopped caller as it came in fox stops boom down a vixen. Picked it up went to have a chat with Barry he was laughing to how quick it was. Waited a while said i'll pop back over to hedge on with caller this time chicken distress 5 to 10 mins fox coming in full pelt spotted with recon, on with Archer fox coming in like a good one.off with caller fox stops boom no 2 down dog went out to find it no sign and only had my trainers on Told Barry i'd come up this morning and find it + see for best places to call from same time. Walked out this morning and there it was how i did not see it i'll never know bit further that i thought and in dip in field nice dog. Seen Aled this morning over the moon. said i'd come up again soon just to check any more around.

Cheers Rich had 4 dogs and 2 vixens in last three visits Huw's very happy been a few lamping there and missing all the 6 i had where lamp shy but nv sorted them out. atb T

Mates wife messaged me yesterday said Huw putting a lot of lambs out on the field asked if i could pop up sometime. As it was a nice night last night set off for Huw's called by house for a cuppa and to find out which fields lambs where in. Told him i'd start up top of farm then head down after. Called for a bit on 1 of my best places nothing,walked back to truck coffee and called on big sloping field. Kept scanning with Monocular thought i spotted a pair of eyes over lane about 200y that truck was parked. Quick flick with red off it took up hill waited a while put dog fox call on eyes on skyline with monocular a long way off,headed up field through lambs + ewes to bump in field to get closer scanning as i went half expected to walk into it. Looked up field then to my left fox heading off down hill along hedge,gave it a call not interested. Through gateway heading for lane to next farm watching him through Archer gave it a hell of a shout Oi sure they could have heard me in village but he stopped sat boom down it went a nice dog. He was a heck of a way a good 300y in engine room . Set off down to farm talked to Huw big smile on his face set off to calling place. Put the dog bark on again scanning with mono see fox down below me just mousing in among the lambs that went out earlier. On with Archer waited till it was clear of lambs quick Oi boom down about 180y vixen in cub. Nothing else in a few fields so home.
