  1. After some research it turns out that it is an AYA Matador, getting a bit rare these days. It has a half and extra full chokes.
  2. Great time. I didn't hit quite as much as the Semi but with a 1/2 and full it was good fun. I was also surprised by how little recoil there was. Hitting a driven with a full choke just made my day, it was dust. I have just got a Winchester 101 xtr so I will be trying that next time. :good:
  3. Hope someone can help. We are having a Side by Side Challenge on sunday and I have got a AYA No4 28" for the job. Somewhat different to my semi. Any tips please.
  4. I shoot at Meadow Land CPC, it's at Harston, next left up the M11 past Duxford. Very friendly bunch. Side by side callenge this sunday. Think I might start the Clay Pigeon Preservation Society.
  5. I recently got an RFD. It's a bit like jumping through a burning hoop backwards whilst wrestling a bear and it took 8 weeks. Getting to know the 2006/7 VCR act and the 1968 firearms act took another 12 weeks(ish). Tripped over once and got slapped for it. But all in all I spend most of my days with guns, not too bad.
  6. I have recently started shooting clays. The advise I had was get your own gun, use 28g 7 1/2s fibre and if my score improves each week then I won't change anything. I will know when I get to the point where I can experiment but that is some way off. After 6 shoots my score was 20/50 but far more important I am really enjoying blasting away at defenceless clays. My choke is improved cylinder and my gun is a Webley & Scott 812 semi ( after reading a review on here). Loving it!!
  7. I know Graham quite well as I see him every 2 weeks. I should disclose that I do have an RFD but it is only for air weapons, cartridges and section 1 ammo. Shotguns soon.
  8. Thanks for the welcome. I am near Haverhill and have been shooting at Castle Camps. The FEO has already interviewed me and we got on just fine but I am not going to hold my breath.
  9. Hi All, I just started clay shooting and have applied for my certificate. Quite fancy a Webley & Scott 800 Grade 2 12 bore as I have an old neck injury. I look forward to reading and posting.
