  1. £18 is what my surgery asked for.
  2. I worked with someone who had £50,000 invested in bonds. He did have other investments but saw the bonds as a no risk safe place to put away a bit cash that could be accessed easily if needed.
  3. Perhaps Hawkeye could discuss it with Jackie and get a bit feedback.
  4. Perhaps tomorrows announcement will hopefully allow some shops to open with restrictions in place.
  5. That question I can't answer. I just remember from my time in Germany having to clear the snow from the paths around the barracks and the NAAFI shop, then putting down loads of grit.
  6. They do it because they have to. The Germans have a Law/Rule called street cleaning statute, it compels property owners to clear snow from the front of their property. If you go on holiday you have to allocate responsibility to someone. They do however seem to show more responsibility for elderly family members. I seem to recall they had 99 year mortgages for buying family homes and I often saw 3 generations living in the same property.
  7. if u r still looking get in touch, im in blyth also.
  8. There was a negative post from someone but it's now been edited to a positive comment???
  9. If he only had £20 in his account, posting on here before speaking to the parties concerned isn't going to help the situation.
  10. So before checking with basc you have decided to just come on here and have a whinge, surely common sense says speak to basc first to find out what went wrong.
  11. It is pretty tough, but I've seen people pass them type of tests and then when they've been all wet and muddy lose the will to live and then call it a day.
  12. Royal Marines do the hardest basic training of any forces, if you think its all just about being fit then think again. In some intakes its the fittest that fail to earn a green beret. Having the right mental approach is almost as important, the ability to keep going in the worst conditions sometimes while injured is what sorts marines out from the wannabes.
  13. If you're looking for a night out in northumberland I wouldn't bother asking on here ive tried and theres nothing going you be better off moving to somewhere else
  14. My permission from the farmer only allows me to shoot when my mate accompanies me. But he can't be bothered shooting very often, so I can't get out and get some practice in. Just to add my mate has worked for the farmer for over 20 years and the farmer has only known me for less than 6 months, however he has said that once hes known me for a while he'll allow me out and about by myself. So in the meantime I'd like to get a bit of range time in.
  15. I can't afford to buy petrol to get about so a few quid just to buy some fuel would be nice.
