How many birds, rearing/poults how many days bag size is it a head keepers job or is it single handed never looks good if the beat/under keeper has more of an idea than the head keeper. if u think you can cope with the job and this is wot u really want to do then grab it with both hands just remember that there aren't many jobs about at the moment and a lot of good keepers are without jobs

For a women friendly shoot chess grove in the forest of Dean is a lovely relaxed shoot no where near coley's size but you want find a more friendly ground. Griffin-Lloyd is a great shoot in Knighton depending where is south Wales you are coming from, long ridge is a good ground to just of the m50

Its a little bit early at the moment I will try and get you one I'm in Cheltenham. Tips I would give would be have the perch length way so under the cover and under the open bit, get a rabbit drinker for the call birds water feed it dry dog food, a small padlock on the call birds door will stop anyone just opening the door to release the call bird or u leaving it open. I think basc do a good print out sign to put onto the trap explaining this is a legal method of pest control. Keep your trap moving, if it's been placed where you have seen a pair and it hasn't caught even moving it by a couple of meters can be all it needs. If you start really early remember we can still get very cold nights so keep an eye on weather and if it looks to be cold bring the trap inside to protect the call bird. Also try and keep a spare call bird once you've caught your first/second. Good luck And if you catch first can I have a call bird please?

You will be lucky to find ex layers in good nick this year everyone is in the same boat, if I was you I would be lucky that you have got your birds I have heard off some real disaster stories so far this year and we ain't home and dry yet!

Yep just use small staples and hog ring it to your straining wire

I would use the plastic stuff every time easier to use makes a neat job, just make sure you use rabbit mesh for the bottom of the pen. I renewed all 5 of my pens with the plastic netting and never had a problem. Would highly recommend the stuff.

Can ring my mate tomorrow and find out about insurance but they have two on the shoot both are road registered. They seem to be a good bit of kit time will tell as the got them after the start of the shooting season so will see how the cope with the rearin and release season, they do have a smaller load bay than the mule/Kubota tho

Would stay well clear of mules unless you can replace them every three years we had nothing but problems with them we went to Kubota v.good but v.slow my mates have just changed to polaris rangers very good and they can be road reg. Heard some good things about both JCBs and the gators. Just get as many as you can on demo and see which one suits you best.

I'd say 6.5x55 but that's only as I shoot one and like it as others have said 308 is a very good round you won't go far wrong with it and as has been said if you are shooting red and fallow mainly would forget about the .243 and get something bigger.
