  1. The public Voted, the conservatives won a majority...get over it... Outside of the Purple tinged glasses brigade..Farage has just lost any credibility he had...that makes him just the same as all the rest. He is obviously a man of very little principle. Oh and by the way read 60 odd pages of the Vote UKIP thread and you will see why some are putting the boot in, and perhaps deservedly so. Not me I might add... I love Nige...he's a good source of tax free income and much more to come too.
  2. No he didn't...He hasn't resigned his position...he's just tendered it... If he had kept his word he would have resigned and stood by it. He knew what he was doing..
  3. Thanks Nige, you've just won me £300 sovs... I love UKIP. Of course it was going to happen any idiot knows that UKIP are nothing without Farage and he would never keep his word...they are just protecting their own future as a credible party. UKIP without Farage is like a Car without petrol ...it will just grind to a halt. My next bet is a surprise resignation by Carswell ( paid off ) and a By Election featuring the old hypocrite. Thankfully we will have 5 years of Conservative government, so Farage can do his worst.
  4. I don't feel UKIP were humiliated, but also don't believe many voted for UKIP as a genuine alternative... The Lib Dems dissented to the Tories and I believe many disgruntled labour voters to UKIP. Farage kept his word and respect to him for that. I believe he would be foolish to run for leadership in September and if the party is to consolidate and expand a new leader should be found. I believe that should be Carswell for obvious reasons. Whether he is the right man for the job remains to be seen. I also thought I detected a bit of tiredness in Farages speech, not fatigue from the nights events but more of a resignation that this is possibly as good as it gets. He doesn't look that healthy either. I wouldn't be surprised to see a retirement in the offing. He could make a fortune on the after dinner circuit. As for the EU referendum I believe there will be one and I believe also it will be a simple in or out. The eyes of the world have been on the candidates this election more so than in any election before, every promise has been documented all the rhetoric recorded ( thanks in part to the live debates) and Cameron has no other option. I think it may be sooner rather than later also, run the horse again before its re-handicapped so to speak and I would be confident that the public would return a resounding yes in favour of staying in the EU. I wish the experts would stop saying " no one foresaw that " also..... Blunderbuss and I did and we made a pretty penny out of it too.
  5. Fair do's..respect to you. We have to show humility in defeat or victory. All's fair in Love and War ( and politics ) Do you think though UKIP can survive without Farages Leadership?
  6. The Cream always rises to the top. GCB is a top man...loves his hunting shooting and fishing and is a active farmer and staunch countryman... PW couldn't have a better ally
  7. Those 56 seats are next to useless in a Majority Government. Even if UKIP were given the number of parliamentary seats pro rata their national poll there's nothing they could do with them. I'm not against PR but it wont make a bit of difference.
  8. The Political world will decide.
  9. I've got the 12's ...still a faint chance of a short head victory.
  10. Yes Amen to That.. Today In fact I will be sharing a whisky or two with a 93 year old retired General and veteran of the Normandy Landings, who also fought in Europe, & North Africa, Plus former commander of the British Army in NI... He's seen some serious **** in his lifetime that I cant even begin to imagine.. Hat off to all of them from me
  11. A large share of the Vote in fact which makes them the third most credible party in England.
  12. Is it a melodious song like that of a warbler of some sort or a wren, Are the notes repetitious like a song thrush. At that time of the morning might a Male Black Cap be the culprit. ?? https://www.rspb.org.uk/discoverandenjoynature/discoverandlearn/birdguide/name/b/blackcap/index.aspx Very true....In parts of East London, resident Starlings still mimic the whistle of falling bombs which they have passed down through successive generations.
  13. Les Kellet now there's a name from the past.. Oh well 2 out of three aint bad
  14. Personally I don't think that matters one iota... the process was flawed.
  15. Have to admit...without wishing to appearing sexist... the Labour candidates aint half bad looking.... Perhaps thats the key. ?
  16. I agree no matter what party or their status...its a Council **** up which shouldn't have happened and the poll should have been voided and suspended 24 hours.
  17. If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same..........
