Rifle is a Sako 85 in .243. As for carrying young, at this time of year if the Doe is pregnant you will usually find a sack of clear fluid containing a tiny, and I mean tiny, foetus. This particular Doe had no foetus but was in superb condition and full of fat. I tend not to shoot Does after February.

It was foggy this morning but visibility was still ok. Shot this nice Doe at about 8.30 am...

First of the year, today at about 1.30pm, between 75-80yds, nice and fat weighing 20kgs(larder)...

Was out looking for a nice Buck today when this Doe with her twins wandered past at less than 15 yds. Nice just to watch them...
