He might give 40p a bird but he only takes the woodies and only the plump ones. Out of a 50 bag, he might have 20 if i'm lucky. The rest get de-breasted and frozen. He has any rabbits for a £1-£1.50 depending on size. He sells for £3.50 but as long as it pays for the cartridges I'm not too bothered.

I had pigeon in London for dinner while at a conference, poached in port with redcurrants and capers :yp: YUM YUM £27.50 Well the company was buying, but I couldn't help but feel ripped off when my local dealer only coughs up 40p a bird!!! WE SHOULD MAKE A STAND!!! (They probably buy em in France anyway!!)

Guys A black bird has built a nest and layed eggs (4) and hasn't been back to nest for a week. I was going to use the eggs to attract some magpies or crows down the farm. 1. Is this Legal? 2. Is it worth doing and what are the best tactics. I was going to invest in a magpie deek and set it up with the eggs at it feet!!!!

Thats more like it!!! Its amazing what goes through your head in a split second. I remember my first driven pheasant day after being a clay shooter for a couple years. Surrounding a wood the whistles blew and not one bird came over my peg. As the beaters reached the edge of the wood, a Hare bolted straight at me and in blind (but safe) panic I let it go behind the line before deciding to pull the trigger. one dead hare, and congratulations from the shoot captain on a sure and safe shot. Later the guns let me know what they were really thinking as it bolted!!! (peppered beaters!!)
