To be honest I just don't use it much, normally take my Beretta 303 out. The 686E only gets used for the occasional day on clays.

Daz, off the top of my head I think it was £95 + £30 joining fee. Got my membership details through yesterday, looks like there's a reasonable amount of land within travelling distance, I've just got to get out and do some searching now.

Hi, Sent my application for the NPPC off to John early last week after a brief chat to him on the phone, just wondering how long it usually takes for the membership cards and lists to be received by new members. I'm not moaning, I can wait, but I'm just eager to find out exactly where the localish land is so I can get out with the binoculars and have a scout around. Cheers

Mark, There should be two letters stamped on the underside of the bottom barrel chamber, something like AH, BP, or AZ, for example. If you let me know what it says I'll tell you the age. If it's before 1975 it may have something like XXII or XXX stamped on it.

According to the date codes it's 1987.

Teal, you could always get the stock altered at reasonable cost, there's only a small amount of L/H cast on it.
