Today, I met a Slovak couple that used to lodge with me when they came to England 8 years ago and asked them what people in Slovakia thought of the EU. 'Most people would probably vote OUT', was the answer.

I wonder if all the festival goers have sent in postal votes for June 23rd.

The NHS is the only form of Socialism that I approve of. Things seem to have gone downhill since it was lumped together with the Social Security dept.

During the LonRho affair, the fact that someone owning 51% of a company that owned 51% of another company that owned 51% of another company........... had a massive amount of control/power, was described as 'the unacceptable face of capitalism'. The way that the EU conducts its business is the 'unacceptable face of democracy', just like the union block votes. It's like the town halls where the Officers can get the councilors to pass what ever they like.

I think the farmers who are employing a lot of cheap EU crop pickers will be voting to stay. They are probably the only ones that have time to go to NFU meetings and influence the stuff that the NFU says. I've heard a lot of talk about British dairy farmers struggling because of imported EU milk. Most of my neighbours have given up milking cows.

All the polls seem to 'weight' their findings in some way. Unless it is rigged, http://www.pollstation.uk/eu-referendum/ gives everybody a chance to cast a vote and have it counted immediately. Perhaps a lot of older people without digital expertise might not use it though.

So an EU migrant comes to Britain, works for 3-6 months selling the Big Issue and then claims all the benefits going, or do they have to go home?

Some years ago, a local farmer found one of his dairy cows dead in the field. The knacker yard found a bullet, .303 I think, in it. The farmer was chairman of the local magistrate bench.
