  1. I've always had Flatcoats and they've done everything you are looking for, but they have had problems with cancer in recent years. Mine, though, have all lived long lives, up to 16 years. I thought about a GLP next, better colour for hiding on the foreshore, unless you can find a liver Flatcoat.
  2. There used to be a piece on this by Archie Coates in the Shooter's Year Book. He advocated releasing them as it was getting dark into thick cover so that they didn't just fly away. If you are doing it in a netted(top) pen, then you have thought about that. Your vermin control should have been good, because these hens will be susceptible. The idea was that these hens would raise a late brood, so the resident cocks must have access to them. Ex-laying hens are notorious for wandering.

    Plenty of BSA's on Guntrader.
  4. Many tenant farmers used to pay their rent with earnings from rabbits. It may have made up for the loss of revenue due to crop damage, but I doubt it.
  5. I think you'll find that it was first trialed on a Scottish island, but it didn't spread/work. It's said that VHD is going to wipe out more rabbits and they don't become immune to it.
  6. When I handed in my handguns, I was given a slot for a .357 rifle. Didn't want a cowboy gun, but couldn't find a break-barrel Harrington and Richardson. People who bought lever actions seemed to think the Marlins were better than the Winchesters.
  7. I think exchanging all that gold for Euros at rock bottom prices was a big enough contribution towards bailing out the lame ducks in the Eurozone.
  8. I regretted not bothering applying for one when I broke my ankle 3 years ago, what with a bus stop 200 yards away and the hospital on the route. I could sell this house and buy 4 more rental properties in the Midlands, but it's too convenient for when you can no longer drive.
  9. It took the USSR 70 years to go bust, so we might have another 30 years of this to go if we don't get out NOW.
  10. But you won't be able to use it to get a bus pass.
  11. But you are not supposed to have both paper and plastic. Mine both ran out the day before I am 70.

Go ask someone who makes and sells trailers, OR this might help. http://www.dft.gov.uk/vca/vehicletype/trailers.asp
  13. If we have a recession after Brexit, it will more than likely be engineered by Osborne out of spite.
  14. I was thinking about getting Baikel or an AYA Yeoman as a second 12-bore.

When I first read the OP, my gut feeling was £10,000 minimum. You can't just build a trailer nowadays, lots of regulations.
  16. You will then have to have medicals if you want to keep your 7.5T license.
  17. In what context is the word 'jamb' being used in these posts? The side of a building opening or something else, American perhaps.?
  18. The farm might lose its organic status, if it has one, if lead is dropped on the land.
  19. Most F-Class target shooters seem to favour bipods with skids on the ends of the legs.
  20. A bit like Brussels telling the UK to get rid of 100,000 dairy cows, and suddenly there's a F-and-M outbreak. Just so happens that the pits were being dug weeks before.

A late friend of mine knocked out over of the 200 coloured light bulbs that used to hang along Weymouth sea front one night.
  22. I think the Remain campaigners are relying on the votes of people who think that summer in the sun and cheap wine are the most important things in life. Their core votes will come from those who have become institutionalised by being employed within the bureaucracy industry and those who have been relying on wasteful government contracts for employment, IE, the payroll vote.
  23. They all run out the day before your 70th birthday.
