Spent 4 1/2 hours in a field this afternoon. Could not see a pigeon let alone shoot one. I have eaten my last shot ones and rather foolishly gave some to a friend who has not reciprocated. So, I want two I can pull out of a bag until I bag, hence my questions. Hows it going down on the marshes? Lurcherboy

Red stagg, I have been using a Lanber 12bore 28" de-luxe for about three years. Then I bought a Benelli Nova pump action. I use this for all my pigeon shooting but still use the Lanber for clays. The gun is what it is, cheap and cheerful and it never let me done. I have put in excess of 10K of cartridges through it. Lurcherboy

I use both and I cannot tell the difference. Those who can must be **** hot guns.

Can anyone recommend a flying decoy to fit my rotary. I have contacted a site but they failed to respond to my queries so I don't want to buy from them. I am working on the theory that you fellas are using and will know what is/is not reliable/sturdy enough to get put in a bag. Many thanks Lurcherboy.

Quicksilver, I shoot whenever I can in the south east. I'm on a weeks holiday at the moment, 4 days in and all I have bloody had is two feral pigeons, 5 mixy rabbits and a squirel. Should have picked my holiday better what what.

It seems to me that many people do not like what is happening in the middle east and that the Israeli's can act without question of their actions. It also appears that no one dares to speak out against them for fear of being labeled anti-Jewish.

Jonno, I bought a Bennelli Nova pump action. It's the mutts nutts. Without FAC it takes 3x3.5" cartridges, and if you are feeling at all reckless, it will take 4 (or so i am told) pigeon loads. Should you be succesfull in getting a FAC, it will take up to 7x 3.5" cartridges and who knows how many pigeon loads. If you still miss the pigeon it will probarly be best to take up golf. :lol: Lurcherboy

My two sons are not allowed to view similar sites including pigeon watch. I took this up with their headmaster who informed me, and I quote ' people will no longer tolerate the holding of guns in the public sector and it was just a matter of time before all firearms are banned' So I have stopped my free maintenance of the schools vehicles (i am a mechanic) and told him I would be applying to join the school governers. Apparently the can't find anyone willing to sit on the board. Best to work on the inside eh? Lurcherboy

I bought a set of four from ##############. They are excellent. I can't remember what they cost but it does not matter as their function is all.

Hello Tody, Country boy now, but I spent the first 17 years of my life in South London (brixton). I absolutely hated it when my parents move to Kent. I could not sleep at night (too quiet) no nightlife and to top it all, I was surronded by carrot crunchers! Now I adore the open spaces and freedom that you do not get in a city. There is not enough money in the world to get me back in a city. Lurcherboy

I am shooting in Kent. Last sunday I saw 3 pigeon, 2 Ducks, 7 crows and a Heron. Consequently, I went home feeling very depressed as the pigeons traffic was busy monday to friday. They must have known I was coming.

I use no5's and so far have been good
