  1. It is being held this Sunday in Dunkeld Scotland.
  2. Hi Has anyone been on a BASC open range day before? If so is it worth going? £10 per shooter. Cheers
  3. Initially attempted to focus at under 25 yards, making vertical adjustments to the scope made no difference. I then put the target out to 35 yards where I managed to get it zeroed fine1
  4. The scope cost £200 so I would expect some amount of quality. The digi just refers to a illuminated reticle I believe. Any reason why my rifle would be shootIng below target with adjustments in fully upright position at under 20 yards?
  5. Hi, recently purchased a .22LR along with a hawke digi scope. My question is, does the side focus adjustment which has different yard ranges in it have any effect on the zeroing of a scope or is it purley for focusing? I was under the impression last night by adjusting the SF it altered where my shot was landing..... Thanks
  6. Has anyone used this type of firearm? Browning T Bolt .22LR Looking at buying one for my first rifle, licence finally arrived! ATB
  7. I checked with the BASC on this one. According to them the same rules with shotguns applies to firearms. You are permitted to handle and shoot a firearm on the basis you are accompanied by the fac holder and must be on his or hers approved land.
  8. How far does it go honestly? Has there been a lot of firearms issues requiring these added security measures?

    Broadband

Currently have virgin broadband 10 meg however the speed is closer to 2 meg. Has anyone else had the same issue? Thinking of changing providers if you can recommend some? Thanks
  10. How long do you have to be a member for before you ate entitled to apply for a certificate?
  11. Strange. This happened to me today, got a call from my FEO asking for someone to vouch for me. Gutted as I don't know any rifle shooters...... I have also posted a thread in relation to the same issue.
  12. I currently hold a SGC & applied recently for the co - terminus initial FEC + SGC renewal. Home visit complete along with refrence checks + land check complete, no issues. I was informed by the FEO at the start of this week that my firearms cert has been passes & should be singed off by the end of the week. Received a telephone today from the FEO asking that I will require to show my competency with a firearm by having a current firearms cert holder vouch for me after seeing me handle a shoot a rifle safely before the certificate will be issued. Unfortunately for me I do not know anyone who shoots rifles, I checked with the BASC on this & they say this request is not a legal requirement and is a local adaptation of the home office guidance for firearms document. I called about tonight and a friend of a friend has agreed to take me shooting next week and vouch for me. Thought's guys? Should I make a issue out of this or burry my head & do what is asked? ATB
  13. ADMIN Please delete thread. Posted in wrong section. Sorry
  14. Took the family there tonight. As said in a previous post the sides, like chips etc very expensive. Burger was good. Nothing to write home about. The staff look scruffy wearing jeans & old trainers. I know the company might be trying to come across casual but I don't like getting served food by someone with manky reebok classics lol Wasn't impressed. Doubtful ill return
