You can get them through Edgar brothers and they do charge a bit on top but I don't think it's more than £50 or so. Well worth it in mho but up to you. At least through them it wil have a guarantee.

  11. Well it's actually a 770 and I'm hoping to fit maybe with some adjustment to the wood. It's a long action. But separate trigger guard and mag clip
  12. I have a new boyds promvarmint thumbhole and they supply it with a plastic trigger guard! I'm after a second hand or someone who can supply a new one Tried google etc brown Ellis and even boyds I can fit almost any Remington guard or savage so anyone got one laying around or even a how's I'm interested please Thanks
  13. Always the same I find regardless of Vauxhall or not. If the warranty covers the issues you will not have to pay the diagnostic. But you will need to talk to someone very specifically to make your point understood
  14. Not sure if sonic do one but I find them great moderators
  15. Not sure it needs to PM it's on a google search so don't think any harm me writing it here. It's on the martlesham estate gloster road. Behind the bookies as you go into martlesham leisure turn right It's a great little set up
  16. So today I went to the East Anglian Gunsmiths in martlesham. Great to see some old faces and as always so so helpful and accommodating. Anyone needing gear or ammo or anything really go see Richard and Martin. A joy to have a great shop so local saving journeys to other shops where everything always seemed a chore or the reception was never inviting to return. Won't get that here. Support the local small shops
  17. Ok. thanks hanks for that is glass bedding different
  18. I'm after some advice please people. I'm sure people have done this and wondered on thoughts I am going to refit my Remington in to a boyds pro varmint thumbhole which is in transit as I write. My question is 1-do I need to bed the action? 2-if so what is best to use? Many thanks in advance for the assistance

  20. Same here. I want one for my remy so contacted SGC(sportsman gun centre)they said 158+20p+p around 6 wks waiting time Which a little prices. I also emailed boyds and they said they probably won't go under $100 again something to do with customs charges and the probables with shipping firearm components. So I don't see any way of getting it cheaper anymore. Even if you have a friend in the US by the time it came to them and then they forwarded it you pay customs etc I doubt it will be much cheaper. Plus if it gets damaged in transit at least it's covered from SGC.
  21. That's a beast of a machine. Plenty of space on there for a rifle box and to transport deer that rear seat would hold them beautifully! Nice buy mate. Bet those pipes make some lovely sounds once the throttle opens up
  22. I thought about one of them but then realised those suction cups unless you spend a fortune are useless. My mate who is a window fitter and shooter says they will be no good especially if really cold or damp etc. I rigged up a little bracket with some square tubing from b and q and some pipe lagging to save damage. Works excellently and just lips over the window. Cost me something daft like 12 quid
  23. Surely a little drop of thread stop would do the trick of them working there way loose etc. and if you were gonna torque them what would you do it to ? Even torque set screws surely can come loose eventually no?
