  1. Congratulations to the Potter family.
  2. No offence to vegies but life would be pretty bland without a medium rare sirloin or slow cooked lamb shoulder now and again (well more than now and again actually). Usually with a glass or two of italian ribena.
  3. Great to meet and shoot with you Florian, I'll look forward to the next time. I guess you should probably ring Mike in advance next time and ask him to round up a couple of bullocks for your steak sandwich habit.
  4. Thought they might do for er-indoors birthday next time around. You/Jay been shooting today?
  5. Especially the flowers/ornaments stuck onto the tables so you can't pinch them.
  6. Went to Fauxdegla today and tried the all-round malarkey with Chard, Anni, Beretta and Florian. Thoroughly enjoyed the shoot and like a few of the others seemed to shoot the discipline I'm used to worse than the others. Never shot any trap before so good to try something new but safe to say I definitely prefer sporting and skeet. Besides I'm not old enough to shoot tarp yet. Finished with a 72 which I was pleased with for me. Good to meet Florian for the first time also.
  7. I need to try this shoot one Sunday, it's only about 20 mins from my front door.
  8. Florence is brill for a weekend but by flip it's a dear job when out there.

    new tent

Might be better with some 3x2 and a few big 6 roofing sheets up there. Seriously though I bought a Sprayway Valley tent last year and it's seen some serious downpours and hefty winds and not let me down. Outwell Montana are good tents as well. Nice thing about the Sprayway is that it's quickand easy to put up.
  12. Well I shot a very mediocre 54 which I thought was 57 until I saw the scores posted. My score aside I enjoyed the shoot and Llandegla didn't let us down with it's very own August micro-climate of showers and gales . Went round in a cracking group and saw some belting shooting, especially from Beretta, Mr Potter and his quick on the draw shooting partner.....never seen anybody shoot targets as quick.....and make it look bloomin easy to boot. Oh and Mr Faux has made some improvementsI particularly like.....the cafe now sells orange Club biscuits and Wagon Wheels. Top bloke in my book. Enjoyed the day.
  13. Nice shooting all, especially Chard....cracking knock that.
  14. Is there going to be another Sporting comp this month at FauxDegla or is that something he's looking to faux out?
  15. Is Mike staying on at Fauxdegla? Cos I bet Mr Faux can't pull vans backwards up the hill in the snow.
  16. Thanks Chard, I did fancy Spennymoor but had to be back in decent time this morning. Hopefully you and Nick will be in the money.
  17. Well shot at Spennymoor chaps. 39 out of 50 for me this morning and then 22 at skeet.
  18. Congratulations Auntie, well done.
  19. Bitten just below the eye with one a few years ago and had an almighty reaction. Found a large Jameson gave me about the most relief. Bitten a few times over the years and they are always nasty.
  20. Wasn't Paulos gonna try one of these? See what he thinks, he knows his onions.
  21. No it's not me under another name, and too late I've seen the post Nick. I'd love a DT10, I just struggle with the part where I have to part with cash to get one.
